求问Data Science and Machine Learning专业GRE问题

楼主是软件工程的本科，打算申请Data Science and Machine Learning这个专业，发现学院申请注意和网申的提示不太一致，一个要求说non-math background的话需要GRE，软件工程应该不属于math background？但是Admission Requirement里面又说定量科学或者工程学就可以申请，可能后者需要GRE。那么问题来了，我需不需要提交GRE啊，好纠结，求解答。

一个是说：
Graduate with Bachelor(Hons)degress  in quantitaive science(e.g. mathematic,applied mathematics,statistics and physics) or Engineering who wish to enhance~~~~~~~

另一个是：
applicants with non-math background are require to submit the GRE or GMAT score sheet to the department
