英语作文进阶之每日一句（22）：electrical & magnetic

Born in 1777 in Rudkøbing, Denmark, Ørsted established in 1820 that an electrical current coursing through a wire creates a magnetic field that can deflect a compass needle. (From National Geographic News, August 14, 2009: Hans Christian Orsted: Who He Was, and Why You Owe Him)

奥斯特1777年的今天出生于丹麦，1820年发现通过线圈的电流产生磁场，可以使罗盘指针产生摆动。

1、主语同位语的用法，在英语里极为常见，在中文里不常见。
2、to establish意思是to discover or prove the facts of a situation，同义词：ascertain。
3、course作动词意思是(literary) (of liquid) to move or flow quickly，这里描述电流流过线圈。
4、注意不定冠词，四个a(n)不可少，后接的四个名词都是可数名词。
