MSFS requires the following supplemental materials, which can be uploaded to the on-line application:

A 500-700 word typewritten statement of purpose must be included with the application. This is the opportunity for the applicant to include personal information with his/her application. In making decisions about admissions, the Committee will consider personal attributes as well as academic records.
The statement should:
Highlight academic and professional achievements, with particular emphasis on the skills acquired and international experiences, that demonstrate interest and capacity to excel in studies of international affairs
Explain motivations for graduate study in the Master of Science in Foreign Service Program and Georgetown University
