Whether there is something of lasting value comes from artist or critic. The author claims so thst more significant influence is given by artist, not by critic (a person who emphasis value artist's pieces, not always finds fault). From where I am concered, I agree insofar as artists and their works creates ever-lasting value for human beings and contemporary society. However, some annotations from critics for art pieces which are helpful to people preferable apperciate these art works, which also contribute ever-lasting value.
There is no denying that in terms of the views hold on by critics are useful to ordinary people, which can provide a special perspective to appreciate art works and offer a probably criterion refers to art genre. An example is aptly to illustrates this point. When people stand in front of a painting, which named <<Sunflower>>signed by Vincent Van Gogh, commonly, except that people would possible know this is a well-colored picture by an famous painter, but know nothing beyond this. At that time, if people are interested in this painting, they would learn the significant meaning from some explanations by critics say:<<Sunflower>> is by Vincent Van Gogh in his last period, which represent the author inner world is full with abundant sensitive for life and ardently love for nature. So it is a better way to promote common people views art works from a special perspectives by critics.
Despite perception that art criticism is a much lower risk activity than making art, opinion of current art are always liable to drastic correction with the passage of time. Critics of the past are often ridiculed for either favoring artists now derided (like the academic painters of the late 19th Century) or dismissing artists now venerated (like the early work of the Impressionists). Some art movements themselves wew named disparaging by critics, with the name later adopted as a sort of badge of honor by the artists of the style, the orginal negative meaning forgotten.
Some critics are unable to adopt to new movements in art and allow their opinions to override their objectivity, resulting in inappropriately dated critique. John McNeil Whistler's paintings, Nocturne in Black and Gold: The Falling Rocket, to "flinging a pot of paint in the public's face."
In sum, artists have often had an uneasy relationship with their critics. Artists usually need positive opinions from critics for their work to be viewed and purchased; unfortunately for the artists, not later generations may understand it.Artist and critics are supplement of each other. All of great artist works in history, which gives society lasting value, are those created by artists and evaluated by critics.

首先建议作者每次写完以后先自己改一遍,把错字,错句都改好,同时再把自己写得不清不楚的句子也改好再拿给小组看,否则提高不大。具体的都在附件里,看看吧。
加油啊!!!!!
