Me:(冲上去,很主动地说,把材料塞进去)Good afternoon, Sir.
VO:(点头)Why are you going to the United States?
Me:(紧张地开始背,开始还磕巴一下)I wish to pursue a master’s degree in ***unive.
VO:(看出来某在背词,觉得挺有趣,笑了一下接着问)What is your major?
Me:(从容一点了)I will study statistics. My current major is in mathematics.
VO:(对于某的专业似乎比较喜欢)What will you do after you graduate?
Me:(继续背)I will come back to China and find a job in a large state-owned company.
VO:(对这个回答不大满意)You think you will earn a lot of money?
Me:(开始即兴发挥)No, I just want to find a job I like.-没经过大脑思考直接一个No,有点不自然,其实可以说 Well, everyone wants to earn money, but that is not the most important for me. I just want to find a job I like.
VO: You don’t want to earn money?
Me: Well, that’s not very important for me.
VO:(继续自说自话)Really? I want to earn a lot of money. That’s why I work for the government.
VO:(一副公事公办的样子)You have a brother or sister in the United States?
Me:(这一点某填表很老实,答的也很老实)No, my aunt lives there.
VO:(恍然大悟状)Did they apply for US residence for one of your parents?
VO:(开始直直地看眼睛)No? I think yes. They also applied for you…
VO:(没表情地接着说)After 15 years, you will become a US resident…
Me:(极度抓狂了)I, I don’t know. They did not tell me. I don’t know anything about it.
VO: What are your parents’ names?
Me:
My father’s name is***. My mother’s name is ***.
VO:(似乎觉得父亲的名字很有趣,母亲有点可疑)Anyway, you will live in the United States after 15 years. You 通过了.
Me: Thank you, Sir. –拿了递出来的材料逃,免了那句have a nice day.
