Congratulations! On behalf of the Dean and Faculty in the School of Politics and Economics, we are pleased to inform you that we have recommended you for admission to our Master of Arts in Economics degree program in the Department of Economics, School of Politics and Economics (SPE) at Claremont Graduate University beginning the Fall Semester 2010. You will be receiving an official letter of admission to our School from the Office of Admissions in about a week, but I wanted to share this news as early as possible so that you may begin whatever arrangements are necessary to accept our offer.
As an MA Econ student, we have assigned you a student mentor from the SPE. Your mentor can assist you with any questions from a student viewpoint such as your program of study or about our student life on the CGU campus. Your mentor will be Jurairat Saijapongse (Nok). Please expect an email from her shortly.
Save the date for these upcoming events:
1. SPE New Student Open House will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Albrecht Auditorium located in the Stauffer Hall of Learning. We’ll feature a Faculty Research Panel so that you can hear about the exciting projects in which our faculty are engaged.
2. SPE New Student Orientation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2011 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Albrecht Auditorium located in the Stauffer Hall of Learning. We would request that all incoming students endeavor attend this event. You will meet our faculty and get registered for classes. Please mark your calendar.
