1.I am interested in PHD in ARE. Since my profile may not be too strong, get a master degree will be a good choice.
My concern is which type of master, traditional econ or ARE, i should apply for. Please give me some names of gd program if possible :)!!!

2.I want to know the difficulty of getting an offer from top ARE program. Is it as competitive as getting an offer from top10-20 ECON programs? I will have only 3.4CGPA and 3.7majorGPA in CUHK(decreased:() and have a minor in MATH when i apply for it.

I can't type chinese in this poor computer, sorry:p...THX >.<!!!

好的农经项目并不太多，竞争自然也比较激烈。LZ其它方面的情况如何？比方科研、推荐信、语言成绩？
LZ如果对ARE感兴趣的话可以去那些学校的网站看一下它们的招生要求，版里的精华区有农经专业排名的帖子，虽然数据比较老但是也可以做一下参考
另外直接申PHD也是一个不错的选择

直接phd的话，GPA3.4恐怕很难，不过有数学minor还不错。traditional econ就更难了，除非有很强的数学功底，否则phd基本就是炮灰了。当然如果楼主有不少有价值的文章，甚至在国外期刊发表过文章，一切另当别论。

写了一堆没发上来，晕……
首先，在deadline以后提交材料肯定是不可以的，这么做你就直接炮灰了
其次，跟着老师做RA是个很好的机会，跟着好好做点项目，在科研上做出点东西对你申请会很有帮助
第三，你才大二，还有一年半的时间，争取把GPA提高到3.6以上吧。

actually， your application should conclude your first three year's score。
While your entry into that school requires the full 4-year score of your university。

有相当一部分学校是允许甚至是鼓励申请者提交大四第一学期成绩，即便在申请截止日期之后。当然也有一些学校不允许，所以要联系每个学校。
