本帖采用互问互答，相互帮助的方式。

有问题的同学可以在回复中将题目列出来，为了方便别人回答，希望能够贴出完整的题，包括instruction以及题号，我会将问题进行汇总。然后其他同学可以看上面的列出的难题，如果有自己会的，可以通过回复进行回答。最后我会把问题和回答进行整理汇总。希望大家共同加油。先暂时把老G中没有的题列出来，后面再陆续补充。

提问的格式：题号，话题及instruction
回答的格式：题号，instruction及中文提纲，希望提纲尽量符合instruction的要求。

我尽量自己一天给出一道题的解答，仅供参考，希望大家能够给点意见。

ISSUE 3(35,137)
Topic：Educational institutions have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing fields of study in which they are unlikely to succeed.
提纲：正：一般而言，让学生停止漫无边际的遐想，回到实实在在的学习中，脚踏实地地学习一技之长，不把时间浪费在看起来毫无成功希望的事情上，无可厚非。
      反：但是，很多时候，人类的很多发展和进步都是由小概率事件而促成的，一些看似不着边际的遐想，可能就会产生一个十分重要的理论，而那些看起来不可能成功的领域，或许就隐藏着改造世界的力量。比如量子理论，还有交流电的发明与使用，以及日心说的提出等。
      反：社会需要发展，要有所创新，就要有敢于探索未知领域的勇气，前人的某些成见，不应成为判断一个领域能否成功的标准。学生应该被更多的鼓励与指导，让他们敢于开拓，对于社会，对于个人的成长，都是有益的。

ISSUE 15(135)
提纲：每个人都有权利去追求更高的物质享受，从事报酬高，利润丰厚的行业，能够使自己的生活更高美好，似乎是时下很多年轻人的追求所在。看看现在最火的行业像金融，管理很多人不一定有兴趣，但是为了追求高薪，都想从事这个行业。
   但是，一味地只顾为自己营造更好的生活，是不是显得很功利？社会的发展，需要各个领域的人才共同努力，很多工作或许都是枯燥乏味（比如理论物理和其他一些纯理论的科学研究）而且不是高薪，但是这些理论工作者为人类的进步和社会的发展做出了卓越的贡献。还有很多工作都是平凡的，比如教师，可能报酬不高，却很重要。如果所有的人都想着做CEO，没有人做普通工人，司机，厨师那社会该如何正常运转？
   人是社会的一部分，身处其中就肩负着一定的社会责任。不能只顾小我而忽视了大我。
ISSUE 16
提纲：
正：一个好的领导能够能够听取民意，做决策的时候会考虑来自民间的意见。但凡明主，总是从善如流。
反：但是，听从民意并不代表屈服于公众，更不代表放弃原则的妥协。民意本身反映的就是不同集团的利益，领导者如果不能果断，就容易被民意所左右，朝令夕改，社会也就可能无从发展了。任何一个决策，总会有人做出牺牲，也会有人从中受益。领导者应该自己去衡量利害关系。例：中国的改革开放，还有中国的国企改革，都可以展开讨论。
合：领导者应该要坚守原则。但也不能一味的刚愎自用，独断专横。民意需参考，但不能被其左右。

ISSUE20
关于大学生选择专业的时候是依照自己的兴趣还是依照目前的就业形势。
支持应该按照目前就业形势选择专业的观点的话，可以从社会的就业竞争带来的压力，比如说一些冷门的专业不好就业。或者没有发展前途。
支持应该按照自己的兴趣选择专业的观点的话，可以从以下角度阐述，违背自己的兴趣学习，可能不能体会到学习的乐趣。而且社会的发展，需要各个领域的协同合作，总会有人从事热门的行业，那些相对冷僻的行业同样需要有人去做，他们对社会的贡献是一样的。而且，社会发展的不同时期，行业的热门程序相对也会发生变化，比如说以前是机械，后来的通信电子，现在是IT。再加上政府政策的影响，并不能保证自己所学的专业会一直热门。
中国有句古话，360行，行行出状元。只要自己在感兴趣的领域里坚持不懈的努力和付出，成为顶尖人才。或许找工作并不困难。

Argument 11,
The council of Maple County, concerned about the county's becoming overdeveloped, is debating a proposed measure that would prevent the development of existing farmland in the county. But the council is also concerned that such a restriction, by limiting the supply of new housing, could lead to significant increases in the price of housing in the county. Proponents of the measure note that Chestnut County established a similar measure ten years ago, and its housing prices have increased only modestly since. However, opponents of the measure note that Pine County adopted restrictions on the development of new residential housing fifteen years ago, and its housing prices have since more than doubled. the council currently predicts that the proposed measure, if passed, will result in a significant increase in housing prices in Maple County.

一、       技术是一把双刃剑，技术帮我们解决了许多问题，使我们不再考虑这些已经解决的问题；然而技术又给我们带来了新的问题，这些问题有待我们去解决，进而又引发了我们的思考。
二、       人们依赖技术解决了许多问题。例如：蒸汽时代，给人类带来巨大劳动力；电子信息科技时代，电子网络使人类的交流能力大大提高
三、       同时，技术又给我们带来了新的问题。例如：环境问题，就业问题，网络安全问题等
四、       人类面临这些新的问题，面临这些新的挑战，必须不断思考去解决这些新的问题，对人的思考能力有了更高的要求。例如：人们编各种软件使网络交易更加安全，使个人信息更加安全。
五、       总之，科技在给我带来进步的同时也使我们面临许多新问题，对于这些新的问题解决又进一步引发了我们的思考，这样不断促使人类进步。

我列的提纲里没有出现agree 或disagree 的词汇，官方的都是这样写的。是不是instruction里明确要求“Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. ”就必须那样写啊

1): In general, poetry, novels, mythology and other types of imaginative literature can enlighten students’ personality. From the poetry, novels; we can find the evil and sincereness. Sometimes, a good novel is just like a mirror, it can reflect the real world. Students can mediate from the scenes of the novel.

For example: Gone with the wind, War and peace, poet Tagore

A humble heart, a unyielding and strong heroine, what is real love, war just brings pain to the civilians, disturb people’s peace life

2): However, it does not mean that students who don’t take such courses can’t become well-rounded individuals. In fact, other courses, such as music, painting, can also play the same role.

3): Students who want to be well-round individuals need the whole life efforts. Except the literature or art knowledge, well-individuals have the good mores and lofty beliefs. They cannot get just from the courses.

Human being: a combination of demons and angles

1): With the development of the science and technology, the machines are becoming more and more advanced, especially at some special applications.

For example: human beings have yield to the machines’ outstanding compute ability.

Human beings have increasingly relied on the huge computers to solve some complex computational problems. Model analysis, weather predict, industry control,

In general, the machines can acute the instructions without any faults. In addition, the machines’ working time can last for a long time and don’t need to have a rest.

Besides that, some machines, such as the computers have a huge memory capacity.

2): However, we have to admit that, though machines are superior to humans in some applications, the machines have no thoughts. They just strictly acute the instructions of the humans, in other words, they are controlled by the human beings.

Human beings have affluent emotions. We can feel happy, sad, anger, painful. We are sensitive to the world around us. Moreover, Human recognition capacity is superior to the machines.

1): When people deeply committed to someone, their eyes are full with the person’s merits. They even put the person as the god. People also support his idea or policy with no doubt. Through out the history, we can find many examples. During the Second World War, most of the German worship their sovereign Hitler, they acute his ideals and policies with enthusiasm. Few people would try to question the ideals and policies. In their eyes, Hitler represents the light future. He is just the god and omnipotent. The similar situations also occurred in China, in the 1950s and 1960s; Chinese people launched the Great Leap Forward with infinite loyal to chairman Mao. In order to achieve the communism, Chinese people disobeyed the production rules and did some ludicrous things, such as making steel with pans. When we look back, we can find how foolish they were. But people did not want to question the chairman Mao. They are too devoted to question the policies.

2): In addition, we can find some religious fanatics who are devout to their beliefs and lose themselves. They are used as the tools by the other people. Some people become terrorists. They hijack the airplanes, kill the innocent civilians and make themselves as suicide bombings. They make panic all over the world. They don’t treasure their own life, let alone the others. Their minds are full with the fanatical religions. They deeply committed to the religion and acute the tasks without doubt.

3): Most of the time, when they committed to an idea or policy, they are blinded by the crazy thoughts. When they are not rational any more, they have lost the ability to making the right judgments.

141 提纲感觉写的乱七八糟
1 不能完全同意这句话，折中的信仰就是不能坚持自己的信仰，可能会导致失败。坚持信仰同样也是如此.需要考虑具体的情况
2 有梦想有追求,并且坚持梦想是成功的第一步.例如,xx一直没有放弃对xx的追求,终于在的时候达到了自己的目标,是大器晚成的例子.同时也是因为他坚持了自己的信仰没有放弃,才能在自己的目标引导之下,取得巨大的成就.如果他中途就放弃，那么XX就不会被发现

2): Human beings have the ability to critical thinking. People in different phases of life have different feelings about life. In that case, they would modify their beliefs. Sometimes, Old people and young people have different attitudes to the success. To the young people, they think the success is the fame and wealth. To the old people, they have experienced a lot and are indifferent to the fame and wealth. People can not hold the beliefs without any changes all the time. What’s more, people who can compromise their beliefs often are more tolerant to the other’s beliefs. Through out the history, we can find many wars and disputes often origin from the confliction of the beliefs.

3): However, people compromise the beliefs does not meant that they can confuse right and wrong. In fact, people should stick to the basic principles.

A significant contribution to the field needs three factors: the influence of the past achievements, gifs, personal hardworking.

For example: Turing, father of the computer, Madam Curie, the discoverer of the radium. Emerson: America thinker, famous writer, poet.

1): The transmission of the knowledge is unremitting. We more or less learn from the past experiences or knowledge.

2): We can transcend the past base on the past through own hard working.

可以结合例子展开讨论吧。

关于I 27的一点疑问。
field of inquiry是特指研究领域么？如果是研究领域的话，那产业化的例子，比如IT行业、外科、economy之类的field到底能不能拿来当例子呢？

我理解，如果field of inquiry = research, 那偏技术和应用领域的例子应该也可以，research 不一定都是理论层次的。

inquiry 和 research不能算是直接等同....在公共领域两词代表的方向是不同的，inquiry更广泛，而research倾向于那些已知的事实上

两者在理论研究层面上倒是完全可以替换

这个关于决策的分析跑题了,后面一直在讲批判接受决策的优劣,但文章应该从根本上论证为什么决策的强烈支持者也是强烈批判者
