Agree or disagree: Successful people try new things and take risks rather than the thing that they've done well.

Becoming successful is everyone' dream while not everyone could achieve this goal. People trying to figure out the reasons of success by studying how the successful people do in their life. Do successful people try new things and take risks rather than only doing the things they are familiar with? Some people believe it while others oppose. For me, I don’t think it is true.

The first plain truth, I am presenting here, is that many people become successful just because they insist on what they can do well and never give up. Take many athletes for examples. David Beckham was one of the most excellent football players in the world. When asked about how he could become so successful, Beckham answered that "I was just practicing one thing for millions of times. Practice makes perfect." The same thing happens to some businessmen. They just insisted on their own styles and become successful finally. We could learn from them that insist on keeping their advantages makes them outstanding. It is persistence that leads them to success.

Furthermore, success often can be the reason of trying new things instead of its consequence. Let's talk about Beckham again. When he was in his 30s, Beckham decided to join the football club in U.S. His choice is seen as a risk in his career. Just as Beckham, many successful people started to try new things in life after they have been successful. People see them and say "look, he trys new things and takes risk. Also, he is successful." Indeed, success is the reason of taking risks. In contrast, success gives them confidence and courage to try. Just because they have already been successful, they then have the courage and the interest to try new things.

Last but not least, the fact lies behind my point is that people's ability can drop down if they don't keep practicing. Owning something now does not means we can possess them for the life-long time. If we don't keep doing something every day, even though we are good at it at present, we will forget it someday in the future. Thus, we will lose our advantage. That's the reason why singers practicing singing everyday and athletes keep exercising every day. We often don't have to try new things to be successful, just keep our advantages could help us achieve our goals.

Admittedly, some people gain success by trying new things and taking risks. However, there are still many decisive factors for being successful. Thousands of ways lead to success. The key to success is to keep working hard. But it is not equally important about whether you are working on something new or old.
