大家好，我发过很多贴关于这个专业，但是我发现现在美国开设这个专业的学校何止是几个，是上百个了，其实，我觉得可能申请并不像你们想象的那么难，有部分学校接受学生先申请，再修课，在入学前修完所有的prerequisite program 就行了，这个专业是个赚钱的专业，好多学校并没有医学院，但是有开设这个专业。我有个问题，就是我看到毕业前好多学生都会参加一个资格考试，想问一下，是不是过了资格考试就可以了，不必在意学校排名。作者: H1BMatch2012 时间: 2011-11-8 03:48:43

Well, you are right about the certification test part. As far as you can finish the program and pass the exam, you should be OK to work as a PA. An outstanding graduate from a famous medical school would help one to get into a better big hospital at good location with higher paid, and a normal guy might be landed into a much smaller clinic in rural area. But anyway, I guess most PA graduates could find a job as they get much less paid than physicians can can do some similar basic jobs.
But as far as I know, because I take some courses with PA students in a medical school and talked with them about it, the difficulty to get in a normal level PA program do is more difficult that a PhD program, if ignore the publication part. Those applicants are guys that just almost get into a medical school, with PA as their secondary choice. Also, there are not many international students like PT programs, not sure if it is because of federal funding problem as in medical schools. I have no idea about those PA programs not in medical schools or hospitals.

there are lots of schools with PA
but there are also lots of schools with PhD, and still not everyone gets in
