2007年5月A类Task 2考题 Computers care increasingly used in education. In which areas do you think are computers more important and in which areas are teachers more important? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words.
Due to the fast pace of development of technology, computers are now replacing human in some areas. However, this is not the real case in education. From my point of view, teacher cannot be fully replaced both now and in the future.
It is admitted that computers do play an important role in expanding one’s horizon and help students to learn the basic principles. Besides, computer is an essential role for self-study due to its convenience and fast speed.
In contrast teachers are more important in a higher level in learning. First of all, students cannot really get experience from the non-living computers, but the teachers are always ready to pass on their experience and knowledge. For example, for biological students like us, we can acquire experimental techniques form our teachers instead of the computer. Secondly, teachers can help their students to overcome the difficulties they are facing in life. This is also an important process in learning. Teachers can guide them when students are missing from their directions; Teachers can comfort students when they are in a bad mood and encourage them when students are down.
In conclusion, though computers are playing more and more essential role in our life day by day, their functions in education are limited to only few areas. However, teachers play roles in other areas that the computers are not able to reach.作者: 泡泡情结 时间: 2012-1-17 15:22:27
