Shouldevery university set a rule that every student was required to take a varietyof courses outside the students’ field? Admittedly, in contemporary society, itis necessary that every student should have some basic knowledge about nature, society, science and we humans. Furthermore, for most of students, the mostefficient way to attain knowledge is taking university’s courses. To thisextent, the speaker’s assertion seems impregnable. But this rule inadvertently neglectsthe student’s individual situation and illogically assumes that the universitycan make a wise decision about which way is efficient to gain necessaryknowledge instead of students.
部分承认题目,但认为这样做忽略了学生的差异性,同时错误的代替学生成为了学习的主体。
Inmodern pedagogy, every student should be treated in different ways has become acommon sense because of their distinction. In limited education resources, there is difficult to attain this at school in children and teenagersespecially, we cannot assure every student is given a special teacher, however,we must consider this common sense when we are making up a rule. The studentsat university are all adults and they have capability to choose a comfortableway to learn knowledge outside their field of study.
因材施教是常识。有限的教育资源下,未成年人教育中,可以选修业余课程。但大学生主要都是成人,学生有能力自主决定选择哪种方式获取知识而非学校要求。
Moreover, the assertion takes a risk ofwasting universities’ and students’ given resources. Every student takes avariety courses means there must be more courses than they needed. Forinstance, my university set a rule that every student should take twelvecourses. The famous and popular courses only can accept limited students, somany of us should take some unattractive and uninterested courses to accomplishour study. Sometimes there are three or four students in one classroom and ithas hundreds of seats essentially. On the other hand, students were wastingtime on their uninterested fields and some universities could not offerqualified classes. If one university is famous for its nature science, is it alittle hard to acquire it has high-grand courses in social science? Do studentstake these classes will be more efficient than learning themselves?
演讲人的观点可能存在风险(即讨论题目建议实施后的恶果),1 每一个学生都要选课必然要开设很多多余的课程。2 有些学校无法保证领域外课程的教学质量。(可以反问么?)
Admittedly, taking a variety of courses iswell in helping students learn knowledge outside the field of study, thespeaker unnecessarily expands the extent that taking courses is efficient inall fields. For example, my friend Jay learning basketball for many years and he acquired ahigh level before he went to university. For him, more time should be taken in practicingand attending matches. The similar situation is ordinary in physic and music.
Final, university should offer qualified coursesin many fields and encourage students to take them. Even the speaker’s rule hadbeen passed, exceptions should be allowed.
再次承认课程的方式可以帮助部分学生学到知识。但在某些领域这样做效果不好。
最后,学校应提高自身的授课质量并鼓励学生选择业余课程。即便如题要求,也应允许例外。
