Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Two people can become good friends even if one of them has more money than the other.

Friendship is a bond based on similarity, trust and caring. Sometimes the gap between the possessions of two friends can ruin their friendship. But, in general, money plays really an insignificant part in the bond between two people.

Two people attract each other when they share same interests. Two friends can share most of their interests even though one of them is richer. They may both like playing basketball. In weekend, they can play together in the playground provided by public service. Throughout the game, they are able to get more familiar with each other. If one get injured, the other one give a hand and help to send the injured to hospital, showing care and warmth. Thus, their friendship gets solidified, though they are not as rich as each other.

Moreover, if two people value the same virtue or have the same goal, their friendship, the bond between them, can be really strong. Hamilton was very rich, owning a great tract of land, while Jefferson was in debt. But they were close friend because they both devote themselves to the career to shape the government into the form that they both value, though in different ways. With great thoughts shared and overwhelming passion lit, two people who are reaching the same goal can be really good friends. And this is not connected to money totally.

There are other possibilities that two people having different amounts of money can be friends. Maybe in one case, the pourer lost his/her business temporarily and will come back someday, reaching another peak of his/her career. They still share same value and same interest in spite the fact that one is richer. And they will have the same lifestyle probably in the future. When they become friends, they may talk about their ambitious plans. The richer, generally the stronger in society, can help the other one regain his success.

In summary, it is possible for two people who have different amounts of money to become friends.

Fossil trade has been a great issue. In spite of the reading passage against the fossil market, in the lecture, the professor argues that the trade has more advantages than its disadvantages.

The reading indicates that fossil trade reduces the fossils donated to museums and thereby it becomes harder for general people to see valuable fossils. Conversely, the lecturer argues that fossils can be collected by more schools and libraries in the fossil market. Therefore, the public benefits because these fossils as collections are exposed generally.

In the text, the writer points out that scientists are less accessible to the most important fossils since the museums and universities cannot compete successfully against millionaire buyers. However, it is estimated in the lecture that necessary identifying for fossil trade enable the specialists to observe and test fossils. So, scientists will not miss out the fossils in the market.

Moreover, the writer mentions the fact that collectors are not interested and specialized in fossil itself and thereby they may do harm to the valuable parts of fossils. The lecturer admits the fact. But she points out that the commercial fossil collectors promote the discovery of fossils underground. Without them, fossils are less likely to be found than they are now.

(interest). Two friends can share most of their interests even though one of them is richer. They may both like playing basketball. In weekend, they can play together in the playground provided by public service. Throughout the game, they are able to get more familiar with each other. If one get injured, the other one give (gives)a hand and help to send the injured to the hospital, showing care and warmth. Thus, their friendship gets solidified, though they are not as rich as each other.

Moreover, if two people value the same virtue or have the same goal, their friendship, the bond between them, can be really strong. Hamilton was very rich, owning a great tract of land, while Jefferson was in debt. But they were close friend (friends)because they both devote(devoted) themselves to the career to shape the government into the form that they both value, though in different ways. With great thoughts shared and overwhelming passion lit, two people who are reaching the same goal can be really good friends. And this is not connected to money totally.
