I am pleased to inform you that you have been accepted for enrollment in the Ph.D. program in Applied Physics for fall 2012. Official notification must come from the Office of Admissions, but this letter serves as early confirmation of your acceptance.
· You will receive a 20 hour-a week (50%) Teaching Assistant position, which would entail either Teaching in a classroom or assisting faculty member's with teaching/research. The annual stipend for this is $19,800, and is guaranteed for one year.
· You will receive a full tuition waiver, but you are responsible for the required fees, which comprise about 20% of the total costs (standard for all GAships). Health insurance coverage is included.
