Following the evaluations and interviews of prospective candidates for admission to our program, the admissions committee made initial offers to the first group of applicants and is currently awaiting responses to those offers. In the interim, the committee has ranked all remaining candidates and placed them, including yours on a wait list.
We only have a limited number of slots available this year, and the responses to our offers have been overwhelmingly positive. As such, at this time, it does not appear that we will get to your slot on the wait list. I recognize how difficult it must be to read this letter, and I wish I had better news.
