我有很重要的问题请教各位，先拜谢。我收到今年的offer了。由于我托福口语少了一分，CS系录了我但是被admission office卡了，offer拒发。后来经过系里的努力协商，我还是被录了。但是，我女友面临同样的问题。她申的是ECE，她托福总分少了三分，口语少了一分，由于科研背景不错，一个教授说可以破格录取。但是我们现在很担心她跟我的情况一样，被系里录了，还是通不过admission office.问了教授这个问题，教授的回答是，I am optimistic that we will be able to admit you to GMU. I can also support you with a research assistantship if you are admitted. I think your interests will be a good match with our research group. However, the admissions process may take a little bit of time, because your application was received late. Also, since you have applied to the CS department, I do not have any control over how quickly the application can be processed.
