Based on the fact that the number of college students is continue increasing these years, I fundamentally agree with the statement that people are now easier to get education than in the past. And I think this phenomenon result from the economic growth, the large number of schools and educators, and the policy of the compulsory education. I'll elaborate on this opinion and outline the following arguments to support my thesis.
First of all, I hold the belief that the spiritual world is based on the material world. In the past, like the age when our parents are children, most families had the problem to maintain a basic diet of all the family members, even many innocent children dead for starve. Under this circumstance, how could children at that time had enough money and energy to attend school or just simply study by themselves. On the other hand, with the economic growth, most families now have enough money to offer children an education of high quality, and even many families can afford the expense of studying abroad. Therefore, more and more people become educated.
Moreover, in the past years, even if one's family could afford his or her education, (s)he might had no chance to attend school because of the limit number of schools and a lack of teachers. However, now there are enormous schools range from elementary school to university and various colleges and universities provide the society adequate teachers every year. There is an obvious example of my parents and myself. My mother lived in countryside, and there wasn't any school in where she lived at that time. But now I'll graduate from my university next year. So it's clear that now people get an education easier than the past.
In addition, many children who live in countryside whose parents believe that attend a school is a waste of money and time. So they forbid their children go to school although their children are desire to receive education. In the past, many people just help cultivate their farms and do housework when they should have gone to school. On contrary, children nowadays must attend the primary education because of the policy of the compulsory education. For example, one of my distant relatives who live in a country, he prohibits his child attending school. But under the pressure of the policy, he affords his child to go to school at last.
In conclusion, with the economic growing, the number of schools and teachers increasing and the policy of the compulsory consolidating, I believe that people now have more chance to receive education than in the past. 作者: oyyy0702 时间: 2012-8-15 15:34:17
