Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents should allow children to make their own choices rather than determine their children’s future for them.
It is commonly believed that parents play a pivotal role in children’s life.They are willing to do almost everything for their children. Some may even spoil their children. Hence,the issue of whether it is necessary for parents to allow children to make their own decision instead of determining their children’s future. As for me, I entirely with the opinion that children should make their own choices. Here are the reasons to support my idea.
At the very beginning, it can improve children’s various abilities. For instance, I grew up with out my parent’s excessive love. They allow me to make decision on my own when I am faced with different situations. Which develop my abilities such as decision making as time goes by.What’s more, it also render me to be more confident even in difficult situation. I always have the faith to over come the trouble and get success. On the other hand,supposing that every choice was made by my parents in my childhood,how I would be now. I would not be confident when facing any situation.Hence, it is salient that children can profit from making decisions by themselves immensely.
Further more, children have to leave their parents to live without parents when they grow up. Though parents do a lot of things for children, they can not do that things all their life. If they are too old to offer the condition their children need, the only thing their children would do is just crying besides them if they are growing up in such a protective circumstance.
Nonetheless, we can hardly lose sight of one important fact that parents’ advice are also import.They are older than us. That meas they see more and have adequate experience to solve the problem we are faced. If we have trouble in doing something,we can also turn to our parents for help.Their advice is valuable to us. But one thing I want to assert is that the decision should made by ourselves. The role parents play is just a adviser.
From what has been discussed previously,a conclusion could be easily drawn that it is beneficial to make choices by children themselves. Which can be conducive to their development of a variety of abilities. However, parents’ advices are also necessary. It is advisable that decision making is the fundamental factor of a person’s capacity in long run.
