问题：怎么应对让人头疼的独立口语题目？
独立口语题目是新托福口语考试的前两题，考生需要根据屏幕上显示的问题作答或阐明自己的观点。
第1题和第2题的解题流程完全一样，唯一的区别在于提问方式。第1题的问题中没有选择项，而在第2题中，考生需要二选一，选择自己答题的切入点。
考场上你可能会遇到什么状况？
在考场上，准备时间只有15秒，答题时间是45秒。大部分托福考生，尤其是第一次参加考试的考生的临场反应一般是这样的：或者大脑不给力，毫无头绪或千头万绪不知从何谈起；或者还没来得及调整思路、组织语言，时间就到了。由于缺少思路和谈资，不但回答说不到点子上，还会影响心情，结果越说越没信心，越说声音越小，心跳加快，表达也捉襟见肘，语无伦次，顾此失彼，最后慌忙收尾。
解决办法就是对常见的问题提前准备谈资。我这里特别介绍几种用于回答第1题和第2题的万能理由。
“万能理由”助你一臂之力（1 ）
与交流有关的话题
托福独立口语中涉及到人际交流，特别是学生交流的题目很多，碰到这类题目，我们可以考虑稍作修改，套入以下两个万能理由。
①万能理由1“学生永远需要交流”
1）学习层面
• Make up for the notes missed in class
• Discussion improves understanding
• Solve problems in assignments
• Good communication skill benefits future studies
2) 社会层面
• Get insight into others’ feelings / read their minds
• Deal/Socialize with people from different backgrounds
• Improve interpersonal skills and relationships with other people
• Communication ability is an important ability required in the future career
②万能理由2“学生永远孤独”
1) 性格层面
• Reserved / timid / shy
• Not willing to talk to others in a new environment / Feel embarrassed to talk to somebody he/she is unfamiliar with
• Be isolated with no friends
• Change personality / Become outgoing
• Make new friends
2) 语言层面
• Study overseas (in the U.S.) next year
• Unable to communicate with the locals
• English is not the first language
• Improve English in order to talk to the locals and make new friends

• Part-time job can build up students’ pocket
• Pay for their tuition and cover the cost of living
• Make young people become independent, sociable, and mature
• Have chance to get in touch with diverse mix of people
• Improve communication skills
③万能理由5 “学生需要放松”
• Students are stressed
• Have pressure from study, for example, exams and assignments
• Studying too much results in being exhausted
• Feel frustrated if fail to do well
• Release pressure
• Need to take a break (e.g. shopping / swimming / traveling / hanging out with friends…)
黑体部分对于答题至关重要，由于放松方式不同，此模板可以套用很多题目。如：你平时喜欢做什么？答：Shopping with friends.

与技术有关的话题①万能理由6“学生玩电脑的利与弊”
• Need to do something else (sports) other than studies
• Set them free from studies and refresh themselves
• Focus better on study after coming back
• Sitting in front of computer for a long time (to study or play games or watch TV) can have a negative effect on students’ physical health such as back, neck, and eyes
• One’s study would be affected if he/she is addicted to games
• One would lose interest in daily activities like his/her studies

1) 便利性
• Small & portable (can be put into pocket)
• Use anytime and anywhere as one wants to
• e.g. One can contact with his/her family when he/she gets lost.

什么是综合口语题目？
不同于独立口语题目，新托福综合口语题目不需要考生谈及自己的想法或观点，回答都死根据阅读短文或听力文章的内容做口头转述。综合口语题目包括校园生活（Question 3和 Question 5)及学术课程（Question 4 和Question 6）两种场景。其中，Question 3 和Question 4 需要考生在45秒内阅读一篇短文，然后听一段录音，最后概述阅读和听力材料的内容，准备时间30秒，回答时间60秒。而Question 5和Question 6 只是听录音，然后附属录音内容，准备时间20秒，回答时间60秒。
因此，在综合口语部分，需要打磨两个重要的能力：听记和口述能力。
你应该如何记录？
很少人可以将听力原文中每句话的重点记录下来。即使你很牛，做到了，也可能无法在规定的答题时间内说完。由于综合口语题主要考查考生能否按要求复述听力原文的内容，因此听记的诀窍在于“点到为止”。过于纠缠细节，反而会失去整体。为了能够迅速将重点内容记录下来，笔记缩写是速记的重要前提。在《新托福口语真经》中，我给出了部分缩写笔记。

学会利用缩写笔记，之后需要做的就是熟练掌握如何看笔记做复述了。有关这部分，我们需要结合真题为例，详细解析综合口语题的解题思路。
