Robotics and Computer Vision Laboratory at Fordham University (NYC) will have two Research Assistant positions open for Fall 2014. These positions for MSCS students provide a full tuition waiver and a weekly stipend. The RA will work on formal methods in robotics: verification and auto-generation of correct by
construction mobile robot programs.
The candidates should have the following background:
- undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or related
discipline is required.
- coursework or research work in robotics and/or artificial intelligence is
preferred.
- coursework or research work in formal methods, software verification, or
probabilistic reasoning preferred.
Our department also has Fellowship, several Graduate Assistant positions
which cover full tuition and stipend, and 1/3 GA positions which cover 1/3
tuition and stipend. These are for MSCS students.
Strong applicants with high GPA, good GRE scores, even without BS. in CS,
but related background such as EE, ME, etc. are welcome to apply. If you
have obtained a M.S. in related area, or a current Ph.D. student, who would

I changed the requirements for applicants a little bit.
Strong applicants with GPA higher than 3.0, good GRE scores, even without BS. in CS,
but related background such as EE, ME, etc. are welcome to apply. If you
have obtained a M.S. in related area, or a current Ph.D. student, who would
like to switch to CS, please contact.
NYC is the best job market for CS students, plenty of internships available. Most of our
MSCS students are working on their internships in the second year of their studies. Even
you do not have FA, you could still financially support yourself through on-campus or off-campus work.
