各位师兄师姐，本人欲申请今年CUHK的博士，听说香港有个HKPFS，灰常诱人，想问问本人的情况有木有可能，先说说本人情况，本硕均在哈工大，本GPA88+，硕士90+,排名均在5%，SCI一作一篇（IF=3.456），二作一篇（IF=0.564），托福83（准备十月刷分），路过的各位的大神们，帮忙定位一下下，感激不尽啊~~

导师支持我申请，但据说很激烈，帮忙定位下，差太多就不考T了，报名费肝疼啊

听说这个奖大多数是给外国人留着的，感觉希望不大啊！但是也要看专业~有些专业就比较容易，有些会很难

上面幾樓信息好混亂。。。還有好多錯誤信息。。。
1 LZ請先報專業；
2 HKPF成功與否，最終決定權不在老闆，而在RGC的一個committee，故老闆鼓勵你去申請，甚至幫你寫個推薦信都天經地義，而問老闆成功率，確實難以得到答案；
3 LZ的背景，有希望的；
4 就算你申請港校普通的PhD，除了中大，都是要托福雅思的，故我個人不認為考個T是浪費錢；
5 HKPF初期確實有說法主要目的是吸引外國人，但就往年申請結果來看，內地生占相當大比例，故不必擔心；

楼主的背景很好，建议好好准备托福，这样结合你的科研和前5%的成绩（如果有参加数学建模和其它竞赛的奖更好）来申请HKPF就是很有希望的！加油！

怎样可以看到往年申请结果内地生占得比例？

I know one person, her condition is not better than you.
But She received the HKPFS in HKBU.

After a rigorous evaluation process, 167 candidates were offered a fellowship and 125 have accepted. Among these awardees, 31 (24.8%) candidates are from other countries/regions, including 11(8.8%) from Europe, 14 (11.2%) from Asian countries other than Mainland and Hong Kong, and 6 (4.8%) from the Americas. Lastly, 82 (65.6%) are from the Mainland and 12 (9.6%) from Hong Kong. Most of the awardees will study in the fields of Engineering (34.4%), and Humanities and Social Sciences (28.8%), while the rest will study Biology and Medicine (16.8%), Physical Sciences (15.2%), and Business Studies (4.8%).
