背景：6.20多伦多递签，B1/B2,已经超过五十天了，昨天给DOS打电话问了，然后给大使馆发了邮件，今天给我这样回了回来：
Dear XXX:

Thank you for your email regarding the status of your nonimmigrant visa application.  I regret to inform you that your case remains pending.
Your case was subject to a legally mandated review.  We are unable to provide any timelines  as  our consulate has no control over the pace or scope of that review, and there are instances of these reviews taking well over 60 days.  While we are sensitive to the inconvenience caused to applicants worldwide subject to this review, and we wish that we could do more for the many individuals in this situation, we must follow U.S. law and wait for a response before we can continue processing your application.
Please be assured that we will contact you as soon as we receive the necessary response.  Until then, our consulate can take no action on your case

We regret that our response cannot be more favorable at this time.

看的我心烦意乱，这意思是要超过六十天了，还有，有没有谁知道那个legally mandate review到底是关于什么的啊。

各位版友拜托帮忙支支招。。

这是多伦多领馆的模版回复这里的 legally mandated review 的意思和 necessary administrative processing 是一样的没人能说清楚它们到在查什么

basically they don't know what is happening or if they do, they are not allowed to tell you.

waiting could be frustrating but there is nothing you can do about it...good luck

和楼主一样啊多伦多 b1/b2 六月二十几号签的。。。一直没消息。有朋友18号签的已经check完拿到签证了。。
