When we land on a website, we often see many advertisements. To my surprise, these advertisements are often very familiar, like a pair of shoes I have shopped for. I am very curious how could advertisers do that. After reading this article, I understand it and feel very insecure.
Technology helps advertisements become more targeted than ever possible before. When we spend time online, we share our data with websites. The firms can use our data to infer our jobs and income, they can sell our date to other firms, so the advertisers can use it to delivering special advertisements on websites when we land on it. Moreover, the advertisers can be able to reach particular users, they can modify the ad to make it even more relevant to us.
Now I think that under this technology I become a Hollow Man.

其实今天看了几篇the new yorker，感觉跟以前看the economist的感觉不太一样，因为the new yorker的题材大多数都是评论类的；个人感觉难度比新闻类的大。:lol

two hours today， reading A SHORT HISTORY OF NEARLY EVERYTHING

The author is very humor, and he is curious about natural history. But the textbook he used is very dull, he decided that he would devote three years to reading books and journals and learning the natural history. What I read today is the Big Bang, a very familiar notion for us.But also some difficult for me to understand, I think I should read more and persist. BTW, this a interesting book for us to read, we can know a lot about the nature.

今天阅读The economist 6篇文章，
We are very familiar with the sugar substitutes, like aspartame, sucralose or saccharin, these are far sweeter than ordinary but which provide the body with no energy. However, a recently research find that sugar substitutes may cause obesity. When I read this, I feel very shocking and puzzling. Because the sugar substitutes we can eat in many foods, and they are 0 calorie. Why they can cause obesity? When I finish reading this article, I understand that because they may be bad for the microbes that live in our guts and thus may be bad for our body.Scientist found that as with the mice, a correlation between consumption of sugar substitutes and risk factors for diabetes.
But mice are not people. To apply in humans, the results against the general weight of evidence. And there are some problem when they apply it in humans, like finding a good control group is impossible. So the effects of sugar substitutes in humans are nubilous and very difficult to find the accurate result.

我看到你们组里有6个人，但是只有你一个人写梗概……

你可以给每一个刚刚加组的同学发站内信，告诉他们要每天打卡，怎么样打卡（有的人真的不知道怎么在小组里面打卡你敢信），打卡写什么东西，连续三天不打卡就踢出去等等。（可以写好一段存在电脑里，以后再发给新组员的时候直接复制粘贴很快的）

另外，那种只发过一两个帖子还都是“感谢分享”的可以直接拒掉……我觉得小组成员还是宁缺毋滥

I've read two chapters so far for today's work. Again , what I've read and what I've been reading lately is all about the novel named In the Kingdom of Ice. What I've learned from the chapters are that De Long , one of the main characters , have had the ship by which a great expedition to the Arctic is planned renewed and refurbished , so that it will be capable to sustain in the severity due to the North Pole.An important part of the renewal is the application of arc light , when there was no incandescent light available at that time since Edison was still on the go of inventing it , and the ordinary burning fuel that spreads out light which illuminates the way for the expedition.There are also some other staff constituting the entirety of the planning for the long journey. After everything gets ready , all the members are confident for this valiant endeavor.
