First let me give you a bit of background that I tell all prospective
students: At XX, we accept students to the XX
program as a whole, on the basis of the strength of the file, without
regard for the needs of individual advisors. First-year students are
supported with a rotating advisor system in order to give them the
freedom to identify an advisor and research project that suit them by
the start of the second year.
Having said that, I do have active research projects spanning a broad
range of topics. I'm not sure what will have funding available by the
time students who enter in Fall 2015 will be seeking research projects,
but I would anticipate a number of possibilities that might include
A, B, and C.
