TSE M1 or UW-Madison MS?

3月初邮寄的材料，今天早上得到的消息，要求4月22日前做决定

请问论坛前辈大神：
a) TSE M1 Econométrie Statistiques parcours International 和 M1 Economie parcours International 有什么区别吗？前者应该也学经济学的课程吧？(see http://ecole.tse-fr.eu/en/international-master-1/econometrics-and-statistics) 但是看好像如果要继续读 phd 又只能在 stat & metrics 的方向（see http://ecole.tse-fr.eu/en/programs/graduate），不知道 TSE 的强项在不在这一块，之前好像也没听过有这个方向...
b) 请问如果是做跳板，以后准备读 econ or finance phd，TSE vs. UW-Madison 哪个会好一些？
c) 课程难度两个学校哪个会难一些？

obviously there is an error in the page.

go to the french one and compare them, you will see the difference.

just by reading the cover (the course syllabus), I don't think so.........
cause the M1 Econometrics and Statistics still have a couple of core micro and macro, and thus it should be possible to do other field in economics afterwards too.

P.S. questions like will it be more difficult to apply for TSE M2 ETE is another administrative concern.....

我去年恰好在M1 Econométrie Statistiques (econ stat)这个项目里，在我们这一年，econ和econ stat的项目差别不大，只有两三门课是不一样的其他都一样，不过成绩排名是分开排的。M1结束之后这两个项目里的学生都可以申请M2 ETE (PhD track)，不过今年是不是econ stat的学生以后只能做metrics我不知道，建议直接发邮件问一下director Christine Thomas。

TSE强项在IO, game theory, micro theory等等，finance也还不错。

从TSE申请欧洲的PhD的话比较容易，只要成绩不错，应该总会有满意的offer。如果你以后只想要去美国读PhD，并且不在乎硕士期间的花费的话，个人感觉UWM比较适合。

课程难度的话TSE M1差不多介于本科难度跟博士难度之间，M2 ETE的课程就是比较标准的博士一年级课程。

我昨天试着发email 给小秘（TSE的邮件从来不指望回复...），竟然回复了一封。如下：

Yes the program involves economic courses. The electives are the same in the two programs. The difference is on some compulsory courses. The syllabi for next year are not ready yet but you can download this year’s syllabi on our website which will give you a good idea of the general content.

看到师兄的回复很是激动！嗯我发邮件的时候抄送给 Christine Thomas 了，终于得到了 TSE 人工回复的第一封邮件:mad

我是觉得 TSE 的选择面宽一些，方向比较多，而 UWM 就基础训练多一些（同时 assume not capable of staying in UWM for phd）。就我而言还是想试试不同的方向，找一下自己的兴趣点。

如果不考虑花费和对今后读phd的国家无特定偏好，TSE 是否会比 UWM 好一些？
