415临近，陷入选校纠结死循环当中...看到grad cafe上面报的OSU offer都是25k/year, 我只有22k/year, 流下两行清泪，这是备胎的意思么==

发邮件给coordinator询问项目的信息，完全石沉大海...希望了解这个项目的同学能帮忙解答一下以下问题，先谢过！
1. 我想做的是international trade方向。查看faculty background发现做这个方向的老师很少，请问这种情况下还是否应该选择OSU？
2. QE通过率怎么样？学渣怕跟不上进度...

如果有其他有信息也可以一并分享下~~谢谢。

你这么高的GPA应该通过Q没什么问题，特别对于中国同学

楼主是一年master项目之后gap一年申的phd吗？
这一年在做什么呢，在美国吗？

申请了OPT，实习+申请了半年，新年开始四处玩乐到现在。。。

22k 你是fellowship么其实我那个是24.8k.....= =约等于吧哈哈= = 可能不同fellowship钱有一丢丢不同不过应该也够差别不大嘛

1) How is the attrition rate? About what percentage of PhD students pass the comprehensive exams? It varies from year to year, but on average I would say it is an 80-90% pass rate.
2) How many (percent) students complete the program within 5 years? Will the department fund students beyond 5th year? Ours is a five year program, so the majority of students complete in five years. Under very unusual circumstances, it is possible for students to be supported by individual faculty members beyond that. But this is at the faculty member’s discretion, and will be dependent on their work with the student up to that point. Our departmental policy is support through the 5th year.
3) Does the University provide housing? Unfortunately, no.
4) I suppose the stipend is yearly, for 12 months. Do the department/university provide extra summer support? Are you asking about the first summer, or subsequent ones? There are usually some GA opportunities available in summers after the first one.

Lastly, I still would like to know more details about the assistantship for years 2-5, e.g. how much is the workload (per week) in both semesters and summer, etc. Please let me know if the details are set. It varies, but usually it is 20 hours/week.

换方向再正常不过的事情了...OSU你可以去做贸易的实证啊，他们做labor和IO的人挺多的，计量又强，这些方向和贸易都有很多交叉的

而且看了楼主另外两个offer...OSU strictly dominates吧...？

QE不要怕，如果真的挂了...只能说明你不适合做PhD，也少浪费三四年时间= =第一年有funding已经说明committee对你过QE有信心了，不然不是浪费钱么
