Postdoctoral Research Scientist Opportunities
Our laboratory is seeking postdoctoral research scientist candidates to work on developing innovative image-guided ultrasound therapy techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new laboratory to work closely with the principal investigator. The candidates will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of multidisciplinary researchers from the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Science and the Department of Radiation Oncology in the School of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.
Candidates must have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Medical physics or other closely related areas. It is essential for the candidates to have knowledge of ultrasound physics and familiar with ultrasound instrumentation and ultrasound radiofrequency data acquisition and processing. Research experience (academic or industry) in developing ultrasound imaging techniques, therapeutic techniques, and/or image-guided ultrasound therapy is highly desired. Experience in performing animal experiment is a plus. The candidates must have demonstrated the ability to perform experimental work, publish papers, and work independently and collaboratively.
The position is available immediately with yearly renewable contract. Initial appointment of the job is for one year, with possibility for renewal up to three years, based on performance evaluation.
