Hello, my name is Lia Cao, studying in MSCM class 2021. I'm currently a student ambassador of MSCM in University of Washington.

Have to say it has been great experience to study in this program. Professors  are impressive in their knowledge, kindness, and patience, even though we are taking online class, there are plenty of office hours, and TA can also help us with our questions. My cohort are awesome with their insights, since most of them have full time job and always got pertinent  work experience to share during class. Besides, there are tons of opportunities to work in the team. My teammates are indeed amazing, work delivered are efficient, and so much to learn from them. Last year, I was also admitted by universities including USC, WUSTUL, NYU, but I choose UW without hesitation. No doubt for those who seek full time job in US, Seattle is a perfect position, career fair has mock interview, courses for job seeking skills and other services. Also, the course structure are practical combining tech and management aspects( ≈MBA designs),  I really appreciate the diverse and fulfilling learning experience here.

In this special year, we're taking online class. As an international student, you might concern the job opportunity and study experience in UW. Any more questions or concerns, please feel free to write your comment below.

关于OPT:
如果是新的i-20, 要在三个学季之后才能申请，也就是第二年的3月下旬。国际生里有找到外面intern的，也有在学校内做part time的。

关于项目：
项目是1年，4学期制，不能延长项目期毕业，但可以defer到下一个项目。小班教学，分为小组学习，2学期一换；平时的小组作业需要和小伙伴一起做。有些课程有考试，有些是presentation或者essay形式。平常的quiz一般都会有，平时分

关于同学：
我们这一届美国本地生多，大部分是工作+上课同步进行；同学都很nice，上课发言也很积极

Hi 学姐你好！
我也申请了2021 foster mscm项目，有几个小问题还希望学姐可以帮忙解惑拜托啦!
我申请了gmat waiver 但目前还没有收到学校的回复，今天是今年申请期最后一天了，不知道我是不是应该继续准备gmat呢？
还有一个小问题想问下学姐关于面试的有没有什么经验分享呀？

hi你好呀 gmat先不用准备，可以等学校回复再定夺；面试是用kira系统，往年题目可以在chasedream或寄托搜到，如果题库不换，题目都是类似的，好好准备没问题的。祝申请顺利~

对于今年申请空位的解答：（来自招生主任Kathy）

“We have been in touch with the deferred students about enrollment plans for this coming June so we expect some individuals may have a change of plans and not enroll. However, a number will intend to enroll which means, there are less spaces available to offer for admissions. However, we don’t now the total number of applications yet so if we get a smaller pool of applicants， it might not make a big difference in terms of admissibility. It will depend on the overall fit of the applicant.”
