Argument200 Statistics collected from dentists indicate that three times more men than women faint while visiting the dentist. This evidence suggests that men are more likely to be distressed about having dental work done than women are. Thus, dentists who advertise to attract patients should target the male consumer and emphasize both the effectiveness of their anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity of their staff to nervous or suffering patients.

In this argument, the arguer suggests dentists who advertise to attract patients should target the male consumer and emphasize that they have effective anesthetic techniques and high sensitivity to nervous or suffering patients. He supports his suggestion by a statistics and the conclusion resulted from the statistics. His suggestion seems reasonable, nevertheless, after careful examination, we can find out several flaws as follows.
First of all, the statistics, the only evidence that the arguer cites, is open to doubt because it lacks of necessary information to prove its validity. For example, we do not know when the statistics were made, who conducted the statistics, whether the patients involved in the statistics can represent all the patients, how about the ages of the men and women, does they have the similar health condition, whether they accept the same treatment and were injected with the same anesthetic, and the like. It is possible the statistics were made many years ago when the techniques were very poor, and now all the dental operations will use the anesthetic that will not result any faint. It is also possible that the physical condition of men samples are worse than that of women ones, thus they cannot be compared at the same time. Consequently, with so many questions unresolved, the statistics cannot be strong evidence.
Secondly, even if it is true that men are more likely than women to faint while visiting the dentist, we cannot conclude that men are more possible to feel pain than women. One possibility is that men are easier to be nervous than women when they face the dental operations. Another possibility is that maybe women can endure more pains than men, so even if they are more painful, they do not speak out.
Last but not the least, it is not a wise decision for the dentists to focus only on the male consumer, in addition, only to emphasize the effectiveness of their anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity of their staff to nervous or suffering patients is not enough. It is possible that the number of the female consumer is much larger than that of the male consumer, thus if the dentists use this suggestion, they will lose many consumer. What is more, to attract more consumers, the dentists should have not only the great anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity to patients' nervous and pains, but also the effective method to relax the patients and decrease the pain.
To sum up, the arguer is too cursory to make the suggestion because he only depends on a weak statistic. To make his suggestion more convincing, he has to take the facets discussed above into account.

In this argument, the arguer suggests dentists who advertise to attract patients should target the male consumer and emphasize that they have effective anesthetic techniques and high sensitivity to nervous or suffering patients. He supports his suggestion by citing a statistics and the conclusion resulted from the statistics. However, the statistics cited by the author cannot is too dubious to support his conclusion. His suggestion seems reasonable, nevertheless, after careful examination, we can find out several flaws as follows.
First of all, the statistics, the only evidence that the arguer cites, is open to doubt because it lacks of necessary information to prove its validity. For example, we do not know when the statistics were made collected, who conducted the statistics survey, whether the patients involved in the statistics can represent all the patients,这里最好具体些the tooth patients how about the ages of the men and women, does they have the similar health condition, whether they accept the same treatment and were injected with the same anesthetic, and the like. It is possible the statistics were made many years ago when the techniques were very poor, and now all the dental operations will use the anesthetic that will not result in any faint.
Another possibility is that maybe women can endure more pains than men, so even if they are more painful, they do not speak out do not faint吧?.[color=Blue]为什么男人比女人更容易紧张,女人比男人更能忍呢?生理?心理?
Last but not the least, it is not a wise decision for the dentists to focus only on the male consumer, in addition, only to emphasize the effectiveness of their anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity of their staff to nervous or suffering patients is not enough. It is possible that the number of the female consumer is much larger than that of the male consumer, thus if the dentists use this suggestion, they will lose many consumer非常好!~. What is more, to attract more consumers, the dentists should have not only the great anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity to patients' nervous nervousness and pains, but also the effective method to relax the patients and decrease the pain.decrease the pain 和relax the patients不正是anesthetic techniques and the sensitivity所要体现的吗?
To sum up, the arguer is too cursory to make the suggestion because he only depends on a weak statistic. To make his suggestion more convincing, he has to take the facets discussed above into account.
