In an era when thousands of new machines invented and more and more complicated works being solved by those man-made machines, at the same time of feeling proud and self-satisfied, a fear of being exceeded by machines in intelligence and substituted by them became to haunt us. In my opinion, we human being does not need to be panic of this thought.
Firstly, machines are just tools created by us and helping us solve some low-level but complicated works. Such as calculation, human has already discovered and mastered those method and formula, but dealing with large amounts of numbers and statistics is complicated just because it is wasting time which could be utilized to do other things of greater significance rather than the whole process is insoluble for human. In the past times when there are no washing machine, no air conditioner, no telephone, no mobile vehicle, no TV set, no radio, people still lead their lives quite commonly, only more inconvenient. And in our time, we could spare time and energy which was used before to wash clothes, spent on the long journey to reach a distant place, or utilized to endeavor in obtaining the latest news, to work on other tasks that are more meaningful, to pursue other goals that reward us stronger sense of happiness and success.
Secondly, human will never produce machines that have the ability to reason and think by themselves, and emotions will never be owned by machines. A calculator cannot invent formula itself, or organize the ways of calculating, but only be applied with those mathematical and physical equations and formula being put into it by its producer, the human. Even the most advanced machine and the most similar tool to human brain that we have ever invented, the computer, which is also the one of the inventions that we boast most, could not possess those human peculiarity and merits of thinking independently, making its owe judgement, and the sense of emotion, which are possessed only by organism. This situation has been existing and will forever lasts ever since the beginning of human civilization, as machines or tools are made of inorganic materials, or those organic materials but without life characteristics, from stone in the remote ancient to metal, ceramic, glass and plastic.
In conclusion, I insist on the standpoint as the author that human mind will always be superior to machines because machines are only tools of human minds. Thus, all the worries about those unwarranted rumor afraid that machines will replace human to rule this world are superfluous and impractical.
