以下是面试过程:
ME: Good morning, sir. Nice to meet you.
VO: Good morning.
VO: What will you do in the United States?
ME: I plan to pursue my master's degree at The University of XXX. My major is Mechanical Engineering.
VO: Could you give me your invitation letter?
ME: Here it is.(递给VO系里和研究生院的Offer letters)
(VO看Offer letter)
VO: Who will fund you for your study?
ME: I have got an Research and Teaching Assistantship.
VO: What will your specific research area be?
ME: My research focus is XXX.
VO: Would you please explain your research area to me?
ME: OK. XXX is primarily concerned with ...
VO: Then, could you give me an example of this area's application in our lives?
ME: OK. like XXX and XXX.
VO: Could I have your resume?
ME: OK. Here it is. (递给VO我的Resume)
(VO看Resume,过了大约20秒)
VO: Again, what will your research area be?
ME: My research area is XXX.
(VO不说话了,开始敲电脑。过了大约20秒)
VO: ^%@$#(没听懂,汗). You see the reporting date on your I-20 form is August 7th, so according to the American law, you should only enter the United States within one month before that date. So you should plan your trip after July 7th.
ME: OK.
VO: Take this yellow card to the post office outside.
ME: OK. Thank you.
