information from the public."

When we look back at the political history of our human beings, we will be surprised that  
the most famous political leaders are not always telling the truth to its people at every  
time. So is it necessary for a political leader to withhold information from the public? I  
think, for qualified political leaders, they should possess the ability to make it clear  
when and where is the most appropriate point to let the public know the information which are  
been hidden for some rational  reasons .

Firstly, it is true that sometimes it is essential ,even desirable for the political leaders  
to withhold information from the majority. Some information, such as the information about  
the military security of the country, the financial current movement, something which may  
cause the panic and disorder in the whole society ,and something with a result that is not  
sure at this very moment, once they are released or spread in a tortured way, can even  
destroy the safety or financial movements of the country, and thus ruin the serenity and  
prosperity of the society. As we all known, political leaders are chosen by national people  
in all the democratical countries. They are chosen by people because the voters believe  
their willingness and ability to lead the people to the common prosperity. Therefore, we  
should understand the political leaders who withhold some information from the people to  
ensure a good results in all respects , although among which respects ,some can not show  
their advantages in a short time and people can easily neglect them.

However, always hiding the most useful information from  the public are a unforgivable  
mistake for a political leader to make. As is said in the former paragraph, the main task of  
a political leader is to ensure the common benefits of the public. For one thing,  the  
people in the democratical society have the right to know clearly about how is the country  
going on ,or what is been done or to be done since the people are the force which can decide  
the direction of the country's future. For another, political leaders should let the people  
know the useful information to enhance the safety and serenity of the society. If the people  
are not well informed of the basic information to keep an easy and open minds, rumors can  
fly with a big society disorder following  which may endanger the leadership of the  
political leaders and are absolutely against the original intention of all the qualified  
political leaders--to ensure the prosperity and serenity of the society.

What's more, considering that all the political leaders are human by nature, they should  
always let the people know the information to keep their eyes on the leadership and  
management, which can effectively prevent the political leader from doing things aimed to  
satisfy his personal desires or things which are done to serve the leader himself instead of  
the public.

In fact, for a political leader, it is often necessary to withhold some information to  
ensure an effective leadership and management. And this is always a skill which is most  
expected to be possessed by the excellent political leaders. As a political leader chosen by  
its people, it is necessary for him to have the capability to clarify the information's  
nature and make a resolute decision in time about when is the most appropriate point to let  
the people know the truth without causing a pandemonic or moral disorder. The most famous  
president of the United kingdom --Winston Churchill--chose to broadcast the live reports  
from the battle fields and make temporary speeches to encourage the national people to get  
together and fight against the Nazism with confidence, which help keeping the whole kingdom.

Therefore, we should understand that to ensure the common prosperity of the nation or world,  
it is necessary for the political leaders to hide some information from the public. And when  
we vote, we should selects those who possess the ability to make a good job at this point,  
which is expected by the whole nation.
