背景：研一，生物专业，退学，美国排名150左右生物医学全奖，1000被拒。
vo是白人络腮胡子。整个签证过程没怎么抬头看我，一直劈劈啪啪敲键盘。大致经过：
me: Good morning, sir!
vo: Good morning. How are you?
me: Fine, thank you. And you?
vo: I'm fine. So what do you know about *** university?
me: *** university is one of the public Ohio universities. It is ranking among the top 77 public universities in US. (说完第一句就开始点头，本来还想继续说，觉得他比较满意这个答案，好像不想我继续说了，于是停止）
vo: So you are a graduate student in ***university, why do you plan to receive graduate education in *** university?
me: Because I don't like my research projects here. I like research with more pratical use, especially research related to medicine. My future advisor's research project is a great fit with my interest. And she has very promising research projects for me which are in the leading edge of the field I am interested in.
The biomedical sciences program in *** university possesses outstanding research facility and graduate environment. This ensures my future success in biomedical sciences.
vo: 沉默，敲键盘。
vo: 忙着打电脑。do you konw Bill ***(后面一个词没有听清楚）
me: excuse me?
vo: Bill ***?
me: can you spell that?
vo: he is a faculty member in *** university (我现在所在的学校）.
me: I am sorry. But I have just come to this univeristy for one year. (这句话开始严重范傻，甚至都没有问他这个人是不是生物系的一个老师）
vo: 沉默，敲键盘。Sorry, please wait for a while. 离开了一会儿，回来。
Vo: Do you have a student card?
me: yes, here you are.
沉默，敲键盘
vo: Can I have a look at your admission letter?
me: 想确认一下，You mean offer letter?
vo: Yes. (大概看了看）
me: (在他看的时候）I was admitted as a PhD student. I have got full financial support from ** university. It includes an annual stipend of *** dollors. It is renewable and lasts for five years.
vo: 沉默,敲键盘。Where did you get your bachelor's degree?
me: I got my bachelor's degree in Biology from *** univeristy.
vo: 沉默，敲键盘。Sorry, ×××××××. 给了两张白纸。
me: would you please tell me why?
vo: you can get the answer from the two letters.

离开
修整了一个月，6月7号早晨8点2000
vo是个中长发MM，旁边还有个MM，像是个学徒。女vo前面一阵狂据，表情严肃，没有笑容。看的我心惊肉跳，甚至都想不签了。最后看被拒的多了，心一横，反正横竖都是死，上吧！
me: Good morning, madam.
vo: Good morning. How are you?
me: （愣了近1秒,非常流利的）Fine, thank you. And you?
vo: Fine. Please give me your admission letter.
me: Please wait a minute.(offer letter 和两份admission letter一起给她，另外把简历放在最下面也给她了）
vo: 边看材料边和旁边的MM低声交谈，不知道说了些什么。
me: （吸取了上次的经验教训，开始主动出击）I will study biomedical sciences for my PhD degree. I was awarded a full-time scholorship. It will cover all my expenses.
vo: （没理我，看材料。气氛感觉还不错。过了一会儿）When will you get your master's degree?
me: In 2009, but I want to get a doctor's degree directly from ***.
vo: So you have just been here for one year?
me: It's a three-year master program.
vo: No, I mean: 你在×××只呆了不到一年？
me: Yes. 感觉vo还想纠缠。于是主动问：Do you want to have a look at my studentship certificate?
vo: Yes.
me: 把在读证明，录取通知书和学生证一股脑儿全扔了进去。
me: I want to get a doctor's degree from ***. Because I want to further my current research there.(然后向她展示自己准备好的图片解释现在和以后所作的研究) You know, my current research focuses on #####. But the research is confined to cellular level. I want to extend the research from cell to the animal level.
vo: Why do you want to do research in mouse?
me: （这个问题幸亏老婆事先提过醒，得意中）Because mouse has more genetic and physiological similarities with our human beings. So the study in mouse can give us more
understanding about human diseases.
vo: May I have your transcript?
me: I have only the on-line system transcript. I didn't have the official transcript. 边递边解释：It's in Chinese. But I translated some of the courses into English myself.
vo: It's OK. 不知道看了没有。然后手上拿了两张条：一张蓝条和一张绿条。Can I have your research plan and CV?
me: research plan？
Vo: 可能知道我没有反映过来。 Or study plan?
me: Sure. Please wait a minute. I gave you my CV just now, together with the offer letter.
vo: What's your advisor's research about? Do you have some materials?
me: Sure. I have her letter of support. Is that OK?
vo: Sure.
vo: 把蓝条放在窗口。
me: 开始使劲看上面写的什么东东。
vo: Your visa application has no problem. But we need 4 weeks or so for further processing.
me: But you know. I will enroll on July 16. Would you please accelarate the process?
vo: Sorry. This is a procedure. 边解释边笑。
me: Thank you very much. Have a nice day.
