Me: xxx near the LA. I am gonna study Master of Science in Financial Engineering. Do u have any idea about that?
VO: yeah i am kind of aware of that. Why are u going to USA to do ur master?
Me: well.... financial engineering was firstly born in USA at the end of last century....
VO: stop..... I only need to know why are u going there. Tell me about that in short
Me: okay it's like that. By far, after compleing the bachelor degree, I am incapable to do the quantitative finance.
VO: what is ur major in your undergraduate study?
Me: errrrrr. excuse me?
VO: what is ur major now?
Me: the same. financial engineering
VO: i see. what is ur father doing?
Me: my father runs his own businees. he runs his company with some of his friends in southwestern area of china. u know pretty much like selling spinning machines.
VO: what?
Me: spinning machines. u know the ones which are used to knit automatically.
VO: what is ur father's annual income?
Me: here is his wage statement. around $25,000 per year.
VO: $25,000? he earned his money in dollars?
Me: nope. in RMB, acutually i just exchanged it into dollars.
VO: okay. what is ur mother's job.
Me: she is the manager of people's insurance company of china. u know property and casual insurance.
VO: how much money do u mother earn in one year?
Me: around $22,000 last year.
VO: can u transform it into RMB?
Me: errrrrrrrrrrrr..... 180,000 RMB
VO: show me ur house certificates?
Me: just hold a sec.....（拿证件）
VO: which one do u live?
Me: the first one.
VO: do u have bank statement?
Me: yes. and i have the funds certificates too. I have attached the funds certificates with the bank statement.
VO: （看了一会儿）ur family is going to contribute $50,000 in the first year, but it seems that there is no problem with ur family financial condition. $50,000 is really a huge expense. is it really worth doing this?
Me: I guess so.
然后被杀手杀！问他原因，说我不会回来的。问题是他根本不问归国计划什么的？完全没有问我，他怎么知道呢？
资金绝对不是问题，他自己也说了的。
还有，我说话的时候说的很快，而且语气也是平时说英语的语气。是不是这样不好呢？
我觉得lz在两个比较主要的问题上没有回答好。一个是 Why are u going to USA to do ur master?这个明显是在问出国必要性，应该主要从自己为什么要出国入手，而不该一来就说美国怎么怎么好。vo给了一次补救的机会，又问了一遍，不过lz还是没怎么回答好，应该说能让我有更大的提高更好的发展什么的，说incable to do明显对自己太不自信。老美需要自信的人才，你应该向vo表明你是个人才，在自己明确的规划下寻求更大的发展，而不是因为自己没有能力做什么而不得不出国。
