If you could travel back in time to meet a famous person from history, what person would you like to meet? Use specific reasons and examples to support
your choice.
If I have the chance to travel back in time, I would like to have a talk with the woman I admired the most. She is the only female empire during 5000 years history of China, Ms. Wuzetian.
To begin with, Ms. Wu is not only considered as the first feminists in China but also around the Asia. As we know, in the old Chinese society, women’s status is much lower than men. At that time, it is implausible that a woman could be crowned as an empire, is the acme of authorities in China. We can imagehow hard the process would be that she overthrew the ideology existed several thousand years of a race. Although many details of the campaigns recorded by some books, I really intend to communicate with her and comprehend how she did it.
Moreover, besides the feminists, Ms. Wu was also a distinguished politician. As the historical books mentioned, it was not peaceful in Ms. Wu’s epoch.
Many countries around coveted the abundant resources, such as food, mineral, and so forth in China. But, actually, there was little campaigns occurred in
Ms. Wu’s period. Some historians indicated that it was a miracle depended on Ms Wu’s foreign policy and deplomatism. If I can contact with her and record the entire stories of her diplomatic theories, the records might be considered as a bible by the politicians.
Furthermore, Ms. Wu has another excellent ability—strong leadership—which is also very useful in modern society. Although assisted with advanced computers and communicated facilities, it still needs a large number of officers to govern a country. Herewith, we can image that how huge amount of people Ms. Wu should lead. But the canny woman showed her amazing ability to coordinate all the departments and develop the economic, education,
and other aspects in a high speed. If possible, I wish that she could impart some experience to me that will definitely helpful to my future work.
