In this argument, the arguer claims that the cooling weather in the mid-sixth century are caused by a volcanic eruption. To
substatiate the conclusion, the arguer cites that some historical records and two reaons may cause this phenomena. The argument
is unconvicing for several critical flaws.
Firstly,a loud boom metioned in some surviving Asian historical records of the time might be consistent with a volcanic
eruption can't strongly support the cooling weather at that time is caused by the volcanic eruption.Although a large
meteorite collision would probably create a sudden bright flash of light and no extant historical records of the time mention
such a flash,it didn't stand for there is no such a meteorite collision exist.
In addition, although when a huge volcanic eruption could have create a large dust cloud throughout Earth's atmosphere that
would have been capable of blocking enough sunlight to lower global temperatures significantly,it might also bring larege
heat in high temperature. Therefore how could it only cause the cool weather? It is possible that the heat will bring high
temperature more than it cools the earth.
Thirdly, few historical records survive form that time, only some accounts found in Asia and Europe metioned this.It is not
enough to prove the cool weather will influence the whole earth, maybe it just affect an part of the earth. It is also possible
that the cool weather only caused by neither the volcanic eruption nor the meteorite collision, maybe there is other factors
but not record.
In sum, the arguer should provide enough evidence to prove what is the real reason caused the cool weather and not only
collect the records only from Asia and Europe but a record which can reflect the situation about the whole global.
