How to improve the quality of instructionat college? The author claims that faculties should experience enough worksoutside the academic world. From the overall aspects, I fundamentally agreewith the author, for this method can help faculties enjoy more experiencesconcerning to their subjects, and therefore make their courses more colorful.Nevertheless, it is also infeasible to overstate outside working. All myperspectives will be presented as follows.

To begin with, outside working enablesteacher to have a better understanding of their subjects, then his studentswill be taught in a more comprehensive way, and therefore the quality ofinstruction will be highly enhanced. According to a research conducted byinstruction institute, more than half of college teachers instruct studentsonly by means of text books. However, merely rely on books and classes is farfrom enough, and considering the difficulty of knowledge in college andteacher's limitation of ability, it is often necessary or even desirable forteachers to experience some practice which is relevant to the courses theyteach, by which means could faculty teach in an easier and much more colorfulway, and therefore students will understand their courses much more easily.

Additionally, faculties' actions outsidethe academic world set a good example for their students. To learn is topractice, the experience of teachers will stir students' interests to implementthe knowledge they learn in daily life, and therefore our students will trulyunderstand the meaning of leaning. Also, college students are special studentsbecause after a short time they will enter into society, if they want toquickly adapt it, they must understand how to utilize the knowledge they learnedin class. Faculties outside practice will make them easily understand how toutilize what they learned in college.

However, it is also not advisable forteachers to place too much emphasis on outside working; after all, they havethe obligations of instructing students of knowledge of text books. It is alsopeople's common sense that in college most of our professional knowledge comesfrom books. Only after students have a good learning of textbooks will weimprove the instruction quality.

In conclusion, I fundamentally agree withthe author's assertion. Faculties outside working will not only help studentshave a more comprehensive understanding of textbook knowledge, but also letthem realize the significance of leaning. Yet, my admit to the author'sconclusion does not means we should overlook the faculties' originalobligation, after all, most of their energy should be used in the textbooks'instruction.
