PS:谢谢一楼的同学帮我上传啊,都是些自己在XDF作文课上讲过的关于语言方面的一点东西和综合写作的模板,自己感觉还挺有用。长沙新东方的托福感觉就作文不错了,作文老师挺牛的。

Twenty years from now, students will not use printed book to study.
In this technologically advanced society, we are invariably confronted with the controversial issue about which people have divergent attitudes: whether printed book will disappear in twenty years? Some maintain that the traditional printed book will undoubtedly never be replaced, whereas others assert the opposite is more reasonable. From my perspective, I am convinced that people will abandon printed book in the coming decades.
First and foremost, printed book, compared with the advanced electrical devices as a result of soaring technology, is less convenient and efficient for most people. On one hand, people may find it extremely inconvenient to take large numbers of books from one place to anther one, while a small portable disk containing identical amount of information of those books is available. On the other hand, how to preserve printed books properly and protect them from “aging” caused by some natural factors or bug biting is an irritating issue which people find is costly and almost impossible to cope with. Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that the elimination of printed book is the inevitable result of human's continuous pursuit of a more efficient and convenient lifestyle.
Another equally significant reason for my inclination lies in the fact that printed book, to some extent, poses a probable and potential threat to the environment. This can be aptly exemplified and illustrated by the fact that countless trees have been cut to meet the high demand of paper which is needed to produce printed book. Further lending credence to my position is the fact that factories producing printed book usually are the main source of pollutants which adversely affect river, lake and air. As we know, the awareness of environment protection should be accepted, respected, appreciated and advocated, while printed book, to some extent, imposes a detrimental impact to our environment, so I never remain suspicious that printed book will disappear in the future considering the negative effect it exerts to the environment.
Apart from the two points mentioned above, I would like to add one more that is readily discernible. People will attach more importance to some high-tech products instead of printed books considering the economic factor. For instance, there are plenty of resources and information on the Internet which could be downloaded free such as e-books and movies, and we can watch them in some electronic devices like MP4 or computers.
To sum up, the conveniences and efficiency that technology brings to people, the negative consequences that printed book exercises to our environment together with the economic factor, directly or indirectly, contribute to the disappearance of printed book. I therefore reinforce my standpoint that printed book will vanish in the future.作者: vclskin1 时间: 2009-4-14 10:33:16
