In this manuscript, the author recommends that the water in Earth's oceans must have originated from comets, in order to support the recommendation, he or she lists the evidences as follows: at the beginning of process of the Earth be formed, there is no water on the planet, after the atmosphere is formed, the water vapor from the comet which striking Earth falling as rain and consist the Earth's oceans. However, there are many logical faults in the manuscript.
First and foremost, the author indicates that the heat made the surface molten even the entire planet when Earth formed out of the collision of space rocks. However, is the energy from the collision and the increasing gravitational adequate to molten the plant's surface even the whole planet? In my eyes, the author does not list enough evidences to support this. As we know, the energy needed to molten the planet is definitely enormous, just as the author point out, at the beginning of the formation, the gravitation is not strong enough to form an atmosphere, which indicates the gravitation of Earth is small, therefore, it may also does not have enough energy to molten the Earth even together with the energy from the collisions which happens in just a little while.
Secondly, even admit the entire planet is molt at the beginning of the formation, there also no evidence to indicate all the water on the planet is evaporated to the space. The author falsely equals the moltation to evaporation which needs much more energy than the former one. Thus, without more information about the source of the energy, the author cannot convince me on the evaporation of the all the water on the plant.
Thirdly, the author does not point out the amount of the comets which striking Earth per year so as to demonstrate the water from the comets is enough to form the oceans on the planet. Even admitting there is enough water from the comets, still, it may not merely be in the oceans while there many other ways to gather water such as the lacks, rivers, water in the soil and so forth.
To sum up, without explaining all the possibilities list above, the manuscript seems to be inconvincible and illogical. To make the manuscript more convincible, the author also has to show the definite data related to the topic.
