Do you agree or disagree: governments should spend more money in support of arts than in upport of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams
With the development of economic, government have more money to administrate, not only on benefit people's life, but can also cost on some others what can make life more colourful. For example arts or athletics. But should we spend more money on arts than sports without any excuse, is that intelligent? I think it depends on the city which is under discussed.
Considering there are a lot of famous people in a city, and this is why it is known around the world, spend more money on art is correctly. Take Vienna as an example. This is a great city as there are a lot of artists come to front from here, such as Mozart, Beethoven. Lots of people go to there in order to feel these famous people's spirit, and attend a concert to taste the fascination of music. Government must pay a lot of money to protect these place of historic interest, and invite celebrated artists in the concert and so on to intrigue people comes from all over the world. These are all need a large investment. So pay more money in support of arts is more important than sports for these cities.
On the other hand, when this comes to the cities that are famous for the athletics, government should change the investment to the other side. Such as Athens, a well-known city because of Olympic, it is need more money paid on athletics obviously. Government must try all the best to protect and repair all the structures in the Acropolis, not only for the tourist, but also for all the people in the future which is more important.
However, develop arts and sports are not contradict to each other for most of the cities in the world. For example, the capital of China Beijing is the center of physics, most of the national teams are exercising in this city now. Further more, a successfully Olympic games have already held in this city in 2008. Beijing is also the heart of art in China. The Chinese Opera is came from Beijing and now the representive of China. Therefore, Beijing's Government must equal the two sides and make a sensible way to invest.
In conclusion, before make a correct payment, government must obviously know what is the city need, and how to develop it instead of spend more money on the arts than physics or the opposite choose stupidly.作者: DriftKing 时间: 2009-8-9 11:33:56
