发现这篇文章很容易写着写着写成“应该怎样做能达到目标”,不知各位看法?请狠拍我吧~~

212. "If a goal is worthy, then any means taken to attain it is justifiable."

Everybody knows he should work hard in order to attain a goal. But can you do whatever you regard worthy to attain the goal? The speaker seems to approve this. However, if you take the moral responsibility and social responsibility into account, you will immediately find that taking any means to attain a worthy goal can not be justifiable.

Firstly, every means you take should be restricted by moral responsibility. To illustrate, I think the biggest difference between human and animal is that human distinguish right and wrong not only through physical instinct, but also through moral restriction. History shows us that one will pay much for reaching his goal without being moral responsible. For example, who lose in World War I and World War II? The answer is the invader. They killed so many innocent people in the war just for selfish material profit. For another example, Japan invaded China in order to expand their territory. They killed thousands of people in China in order to win the war. Shamefully, Japanese people considered their invading war as glorious. They think their goal is worthy and their means is justifiable. But in my eyes, the war is totally inhuman according to the video and picture reported of that war. On the other hand, in our modern society, the business field is just like the war. One may take any means, including impair other's profit or fame, to attain a higher position. But in the long run, he is doomed to fail because he will pay back after people recognize that he is lack of moral responsibility. So even if you think a goal is worthy, it is unjustifiable to attain when you lack the moral responsibility.

Secondly, it can't be justifiable for one to attain a goal without taking the social responsibility. For instance, the employer and employee both want to make the biggest profit for themselves. But if the employer doesn't guarantee the employee's interest when he aims to earn more money for his company, he may ask them to work overtime without paying extra money. Meanwhile, if the employee plan to leave the company immediately after learning much professional knowledge from the employee training or working experience from that company in order to enter a more favorable company, the company's interest is also impaired. Of course, the frequent job-hoping will bring the employee bad fame and no other company dares to hire them any more. So neither the employer's and employee's means to attain a goal is justifiable because they fail to fulfill the responsibility to each other.

In sum, before you take any means to attain a worthy goal, you should take the two responsibility stated above into account at first. Only when you fulfill this responsibility can your means be justifiable and your goal be attainable.
