偶的第一篇作文,信手抓来一个题目就写了!
11.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Universities should give the same amount of money to their students' sports activities as they give to their university libraries. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion2
Whether universities should use the same amount of money in students’ sports activities as well as libraries is depending on the input-output ratio. If outputs are larger than input or at least equal to input, it is a reasonable money allocation, in turn universities are worthy of doing. In the reverse aspect, it is not and they do not need to do so.
For the combination universities, they should put more money in their libraries, such as purchasing more new version books, more sophisticated facilities, enlarging the space the libraries have, and providing more comfortable rooms and so on and so forth, all of which facilitate students to study well. Comparably, the money used in students’ sports activities is less, though the principle of all universities is to enhance students not only to have better brains but have better bodies as well in that sports activities are viewed as better additives in students’ spare time in this kind of universities; that is when students feel tired to study, they could relax and lessen the fatigue from study through sports, for example, they may go to do the gym in exercise room. In this way, students could study better. Hence, through this kind of money allocation, universities could get a better result, the outputs larger or equal to the inputs.
For the sport-focused universities, spending more money in sports activities is better. Due to the nature of these universities, it is necessary and indispensable for them to buy some sport equipments, especially some professional ones, which are quite expensive. Besides, students need to attend a variety of contests, which also cost them a lot as participating these contests can help students accumulate match experiences. So these costs all benefit to the universities. Also I concede that books relative to sports are also needed for students. Yet these costs are relatively less. The reason is that practice plays a more important role in sports than theory, despite the fact that theory is the basis of practice. From this perspective, the more money the universities use in sports activities, the more benefits they will get.
From what has been mentioned above, we could get a conclusion that there is no unique answer to the question whether to use the money in students’ sports activities as same as in their libraries. For the combination universities, it is worth using more money in libraries. However, for the sport-focused universities, it is better to use more in sports activities.
