标题: 申请UNSW PHD语言成绩被卡求经验 [打印本页]

LZ昨天刚刚交完finance的申请，今天就收到邮件说材料不符合要求，语言成绩不达标。邮件里说的是we may not proceed your application until you provide required documents. LZ的雅思成绩是听力7.5 阅读8.5 口语7 写作6.5好像的确不符合UNSW关于写作必须7分的要求。想问下大家在申请UNSW的PHD时遇到语言成绩被GRC打回来的事吗？一般都是怎么处理的呢？因为finance不用联系导师，所以lz现在也不知道找谁说，重新考一次也不太来得及了。。

据我所知除非有老师能给你办豁免，否则英语是必须的。还是再考一次吧

同样被卡过我考的托福只差一分也不行
后来赶紧再考
豁免很难得更高层的人批准
建议楼主还是快去考吧

语言不过是不是不管scholarship还是admission的审理都不会开始啊。。？我硕士导师给我申请的系的某个大牛教授问了一下，对方说会帮忙催下也没有消息了

现在不能办理豁免了orz 连续报了两次托福上周末刚考完一次感觉不太好

Sorry I can not type Chinese at Uni...

All the suggestions below are based on my personal experience in 2015.  Things may change over time. And different schools may vary.

As you mentioned, they said they could not proceed your application.  It is different from mine.  You may double check with the school via email.

In my case, he evaluation will start.  They will go through your application materials.  Normally, you can receive a conditional offer first if they want you.  The conditional offer means that, as long as you meet the conditions, you will get the offer immediately.  In you case, also it was my case, the condition would be sending them an English test report that meets the requirement on the website.  I received the unconditional offer the next day after I sent them the test result.

They may not issue you the unconditional offer, which is essential for you to apply for a visa, until you send them the English test report.

谢谢同学热心的回复。好像我的材料的admission process开始了，只是因为语言问题奖学金评定还木有开始，错过八月18号第三轮奖学金的deadline好像就不能在明年三月份入学了:dizzy:

一般来说不同专业要求不同的，可以自己去UNSW 网站上看
