很高兴寄托此次与美国驻华大使馆EducationUSA的合作！本场联合举办的在线访谈提供给寄托学子亲历畅谈踊跃提问的机会。该访谈活动已圆满结束，再次感谢EducationUSA的四位嘉宾来到美版现场！也感谢GTers的大力支持！问答汇编整理如下：

Hi there! I willgladly introduce the classroom culture at UPenn. As it is a very prestigiousschool, students are here to work hard and are used to a rigorous academiclife. Many are quite opinionated and verbal in the classroom, which opens upgreat doors for discussion in smaller seminar type classes. In introductorylectures most students will take notes on a laptop or other electronic deviceand will email or do other things during the class as well. UPenn students liketo be very busy and involved in many different things and this is apparent inthe classroom as well. As you progress within your major you will be in smallerclasses where students will be more focused and attentive during the class.Many students will want to get to know the professor to establish arelationship with them so they will attend the professor’s office hours to askquestions about the class material or about careers. Penn students are veryhard working and can be competitive in terms of grades, but it is not a hostileenvironment. You will also find some students who are complacent with lowgrades and who do not put as much effort into their studies. I would suggestbefriending the hard-working and high-achieving students wherever you go toschool so that you will be surrounded by good influences and are not discouragedfrom spending time studying.

Q17：请问在哪里可以买到美国大学的教科书和参考资料呢?

和中国一样在美国的书店里购买教科书的确很贵。通常情况下美国的大学生都会选择去网上购书。也有的大学会有一些出售二手书的活动。大家可以在入学后多多请教一下前一届的学姐和学哥来获得关于你所在大学购买教科书的信息。

Q18：I am going to further my graduate studythis fall in landscape architecture. And there are two schools of admissoin Iwanna to choose from, Clemson and University of Georgia. I am puzzled aboutchoosing schools.

1) What do you thinkof atteding a college where there are too many chinese students enrolled? Willit narrow the social circle particular for us chinses students?

2) Is it easy to finda job in Georgia State as a foreign student with master degree in landscapearchitecture?(Similar to a question a student had asked)

Great question, and itwill have to be my last, as we are wrapping up here.

1) I do not know thatit will make a difference whether a school has a high or low percentage ofChinese students enrolled.  Your socialcircle is entirely dependent on you - if you want to only interact with other Chinesestudents, then your circle will be dependent on the number there.  You are only limited by your imagination andability to challenge yourself.

2) As previouslymentioned, finding employment in the United States as a foreign student can bevery challenging.  I would recommendtalking to the school's career center.
