My name is Margaret Key and I am a native English speaking Canadian citizen. I attended Brigham Young University majoring in Asian Studies. I have a Paralegal Certificate and HSK Level 8 Certificate. I have lived in Beijing for more than 18 years. My 10+ years translating experience includes business reports and correspondence, international student university applications, Investment and Skilled Workers applications, etc. During this time, I have assisted several individuals translate application documents for US and Canadian universities. My experience includes guiding the person through the application process, from choosing appropriate study programs to mailing off required materials and communicating with the university. Preparing university applications is a complicated process in English not to mention having to translate it into Chinese. It is imperative to determine what information is requested, in what format, and mailed to where. I prepare a detailed checklist of each university’s application requirements to ensure the application is not delayed or rejected. A complete sent application is essential to increasing the possibility of being accepted and receiving financial aid.
I am presently looking to assist students applying to US and Canadian universities in translating related documents, and guide students through the application process to ensure a complete application is sent.
