The lecture is mainly discussing the 3 theories to explain the use of Chaco house in New Mexico. By challenging what is stated in the reading passages that Chaco house may be residential site, storage and ceremonial center, the professor listing contradictory reasons to the reading.

First, the reading says that Chaco house might be residential sites and be analogous to
apartments at Taos. The professor concede that they look like apartment form the outside, but step in their interior, there may have many doubtful point. There are only few fire places in the house, which can not to meet the need of hundreds of people. Even the largest fire place could only to satisfy the need of ten families. Moreover, there is insufficient room contain more than 100 people.

   Second, the reading says the that Chaco house might be storage for grain maize. But that statement also can not be convinced for there is no evidence from the excavation showing trace of trays or large container of grain maize.

   Finally, the reading says the that Chaco house might be ceremonial center. The proof
are many broken pots, that may be explained as container which used to hold the sacrifice of the religious activities. But professor pointed out, that there were not only pot but also building materials had been found, so the pots were more likely the trash of the construction workers.

Moreover, there is insufficient room contain 语法啊，there be句型石头兄要注意啦more than 100 people.

Second, the reading says that Chaco house might be storage for grain maize. But that statement also can not be convinced 说statement就说成is unconvincing好了，cannot不说物哈，for there is no evidence from the excavation showing trace of trays or large container of grain maize. 这句也不错

Finally, the reading says the that Chaco house might be ceremonial center. The proof are many broken pots, that 加逗号就得用whichmay be explained as container which 加wereused to hold the sacrifice of the religious activities. 语法错误要避免哦，意思表述还是相当简洁利索的，这点非常值得我学习，从石头的口语和作文看应该逻辑性很好，赞！
