Independent writting

100306NA Some people believe that people should follow their ambitious dreams and goals even
they are notrealistic, others believe that people should focus on achieving realistic goals.

I have always been told to make a plan and set a goal before I am going to do something since I was a little child. Nonetheless, how to set that kind of goal seems to confuse me for a long time.
Fortunately, I come up with a conclusion which is also my perspective towards this debate that people should follow their ambitious dreams and goals no matter whether they are nonrealistic. And I am going to split the reasons into three parts.
In the first place, it is undoubtedly that people are supposed to dare to dream, since dream is the best motivation for one to strive and persist. So it is obvious that people should follow their ambitious dreams. Once the people set the dreams as their goals, they will do their best to get them in that they know it would not be easy and needs their full concentration to achieve them. For example, when I was a common member in the student union, I always dreamed to be the president, so I set that as my goal. From that moment, I did all my best in every single detail in my work because I knew this was the only way I could achieve my goal.
Additionally, the development of the current society is being thrust by these kinds of people all the time. The world needs them who dare to dream, setting the dreams as their goals, and finally achieving them. Like Gates the most wealthy person in the world, when he was young he dreamed to make the computer affordable for every family which seemed to be impossible during that time. Fortunately, he did it, and now most of us could use the computer. This ambitious dream change the world totally which make the life more convenient and lead the people into the digital world.
Last but not the least, even when people do not make their dreams come true which happens most of the time, the result could be much better than if they focus on achieving realistic goals. Because people would try whatever they can and work hard as much as possible, that would bring them unexpected achievements. On the contrary, if the people only follow the achievable realistic goals which are related easy to get, they would not show the best part of themselves and would be satisfied to the current situation easily.
In sum, I personally believe that the advantages of making ambitious goal and following it outweigh another’s. Not only because it give the people pressure to do their best, but also it is beneficial to the society as well. So I strongly support that one should follows the ambitious goal even it is nonrealistic.

Integrated writting (TPO 16)

The serious problems in the reading passage to dedicated to uncovering and studying old cultural artifacts have been improved now according to the professor's statement. She explained the reasons toward all the parts which the reading has mentioned.

Firstly, the reading material says that a lot of artifacts are destroyed by the proceeding of the construction projects. While, in the lecture, the speaker asserts that new policy allow the sites to be detected by the experts. And if there is something valuable under the sites, the government will preserve them before the construction projects proceeding by starting a group of experts to make a plan in deciding how to do it.

Secondly, the reading passage states that archaeologist feel it is hard to find any financial support, on the other hand, the professor says that now the construction projects are responsible for the cost but not the government. Therefore, the archaeologist can explore a wilder rang of the sites than they did before, since the construction projects will pay for all the exploring process.

Finally, the problem of having a career in archaeology in the reading is also been improved. The speaker says that the situation of finding a job for an archaeologist is much better. Now there are a lot of jobs for the archaeologist for all the stages of the exploring process which do not exist before. Besides, the possibility for the archaeology experts to find a job is higher in Britain now in that a lot of construction companies and agencies would like to hire them.
