                  雅思10大背景段詞彙＋環雅強化類聽力分類
1.租房場景
這種題型，以前看人也介紹過，並且很詳細，這裡把他們總結在一起。
首先辨別是租房還是買房。For lease, for rent 出租與for sale 出賣房子的類型有︰公寓flat, apartment, 學生宿舍dormitory (dorm) , 學生旅店student hostel, 青年旅店youth hostel ，還有一種叫留宿當地居民家裡homestay.  Musty 發霉的

2.課外研究場景.
主要是在課外研究一些小的項目，小的調查研究，包括對學校裡各個地方，食品(咖啡，小吃snacks)等的價格的比較，這些看似不屑一顧的東西，個人認為，這也是與文化背景有關係的，外國人注重人的實踐能力，從小培養訓練。聽時特別關注的是人名，並注意先判斷男女，以及各自的觀點。

開場白經常由會議的president或者organizer進行自我介紹，然後介紹會議內容，還要介紹會議的會期多長，經常考的考點---這次是第幾次會議。
要避免經典陷阱，即聽力原文出現的並不是所需要的答案。

要牢記劍橋人經常使用“靠後原則”出題，即給出的多個數字中第一個通常不是答案。這點要與考點釐清楚，如果出現陷阱詞這個考點了，答案往往在陷阱詞裡就給出來了。另外常考的是會議地點，一般是在國家的首都。

附錄二︰雅思聽力-電話場景
　　熟練記下對方的電話號碼是生活、工作在英語國家必備的一項survival skill，因此是IELTS考試的考點，考生一定要熟練掌握。統計資料顯示︰V18、V22、V24、V26、V33、V36、V38、V39、V41等version中都以不同的出現模式考了電話場景。在這個場景中，主要的考試形式是填空，即要求正確地聽出和寫出電話號碼。下面結合考題詳細講述其考試技巧。
（1）基本訓練。電話號碼是由0－9這十個數字組成的，因此考生一定要對這十個數字的念法非常熟悉。許多聽力教材提供了數字的訓練音帶，大家找一本合適自己的進行練習即可。當訓練到一定程度後，建議進行“自言自語”式的訓練，即自己快速地、無意識地說一些數字，邊說邊記，以此來訓練對數字的敏感能力，這是最關鍵的一步。
（2）“0”在英語中有許多表示方法，如zero、nought、null、nil、nothing等，應該注意的是︰英國英語與美國英語在念法上有所不同，在TOEFL考試中，“0”常念作“zero”，但在IELTS考試中“0”常念作“nought”（V35的section 4）；而在電話號碼中 “0” 讀作字母“Oh”，就像在單詞“go”中的發音。
　　（3）讀電話號碼總的規則是︰國家代號、地區代號和具體號碼分開來讀，比如中國北京的一個電話讀作86、10、87654321，對於一個特定地區的電話，一般來說只有7位或8位。7位的號碼，讀的時候前三位一組連在一起，後四位一組連在一起，中間有一個停頓，比如6254598讀作six two five，four five nine eight；8位的號碼，可以四個一組來讀，考生可參看本節後面的一些典型例句。
　　（4）兩個相同數字或三個相同的數字可以用double或triple來代替，比如2246555可以讀作double two four，six triple five。
　　（5）末尾出現三個零，可以按“千”來發音，如9796000讀作nine seven nine six thousand
　　（6）所幸的是，IELTS的真題根本沒有上面描述的這么複雜，例如V33的section 1中要求填寫Landlady’s telephone number 889745，僅6位數字，只要考生掌握了“double eight”就沒有問題了，而在V39的section 1中要求要求填寫的是分機的號碼3176，僅僅4位數。
　　（7）在IELTS考試中，多於5位數的電話號碼一般來說會重複說一遍，而且分組之間的短暫停頓也提供了一個思考的時間。考生只要經過一定的訓練，再注意一下本節所述的內容，電話號碼的問題就解決了。
附錄三︰雅思聽力-動物場景
　　IELTS考試的動物場景出現在section 2和section 4這兩個monologues中，盡管我們把這個場景歸類於section 4的Academic English中，但在Survival English的section 2中也會出現，區別在於section 2重點描述的不是動物本身的特性，而僅是整個zoo（動物園）導游過程的一部分，例如V24的section 2主題是一個女人談她參觀4個zoo之後的感受，要求填寫rare lion和elephant這兩種動物；V33的section 2主題是介紹一個zoo的布局，涉及到動物的關鍵詞匯是稀有動物的種類（species in rare animal area），包括rare fish，goats，horses and hens，但V38的section 2主題為wild zoo，部分內容有點與section 4的風格類似，考點有red kangaroo（紅袋鼠）的身高和crocodile（鱷魚）的壽命。
　　應試策略----與TOEFL考試相比，IELTS考試涉及到的動物種類要少得多，其專業性也低得多。因此準備動物場景的第一個基本要求是對一些常見的動物名稱熟練掌握，包括它們的發音、拼寫以及最基本的生理特征和生活習性，特別是澳大利亞的一些最具特色的動物，例如sheep、red kangaroo、koala、crocodile、dolphin、falcon、bat、ostrich，這些動物有的已經在IELTS考試中出現過了，有的還未出現。掌握這些動物的基本知識，特別是中國很少見到的一些動物，有助於提升大家的聽力理解能力。例如V38考到的red kangaroo（紅袋鼠），如果考生對這種動物沒有一點了解，以為它象老鼠那么大，就不能有效地預測聽力中的內容，從而對 it is higher than a person 的說法持有懷疑態度，錯失良機。
　　由於目前IELTS聽力的類比試題中很少涉及動物方面，因此建議大家有時間的話看一下Discovery有關動物方面的光碟，其中就有IELTS已經考過的動物。鳴謝summer。
