新人第一次来GTER发帖..以前只敢默默拜读各位高手的作文,自己却只能望洋兴叹..临近考试只有一个月了,没办法,自己写的太差也只能硬着头皮上了,希望各位高手多多拍砖,越厉害越好..谢谢各位了

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The most important problems affecting our society today could be solved within our lifetime.

  It’s commonly conceived that our society had dramatically changed by science and technology and human had made extraordinary progress in knowledge and technology over the recent decades. For instance, flying to sky may be a “mission impossible” for our old generation but now we can easily reach or even float on sky with the help of plane. Smallpox, a fatal disease which has caused thousands of people died, now is killed because of scientist discovered a new vaccine. Unfortunately, we have to look at the other side of the coin, that is accompanied with the high speed of development of technology, a series of social problems has aroused.
  Global warming, the most serious problem we have to facing today, results from high content of carbon dioxide. To trace the source of this problems, owing to tremendous number of machines used in manufacture and widely use of car, the content of carbon dioxide has dramatic increasing over the recent decades. Despite of people in growing numbers are beginning to aware of the seriousness of this problems, government from all over the world still can not reach a agreement on decreasing release carbon dioxide. In daily life, people still prefer to drive car instead of taking the bus, a life style which is hard to change in the following decades.
  Moreover, there is no denying the fact that several problems are continuous existing in current society which is difficult to deal with only through the development of technology. Like crime, exposure and starvation can be seen in every country at every corner, which has puzzled people for thousands of years, is obviously becoming the focus of the whole world as well as hundreds of years and Higher spiritual realm is still needed to solve these problems. To solve these problems is the destiny we all share. In order to solve there problems, we should not only handle a large numbers of technology problems, like creating high-producing food, making more comfortable and cheap cloths, but also solve a plenty of society problems such as discrimination, the low rate of employment and so on.
  From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that a huge number of problems make it impossible for we generation to solve all problems in a short time. However, I still have a positive attitude toward future. Only if we as a human unite each other can we solve problems which now troubling us a lot.

终于把名字改回来了..再次对Arthur2012表示歉意...再附上一篇最近写的文章..刚写没几篇..感觉写的很差..希望各位多多拍砖...由于还没弄明白怎么上传附件..这次就直接往上贴了..

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons examples to support your answer.

  Everyone has its likes and dislikes. In recent survey, people in growing numbers are forced to face a great number of economic problems like high medical expenses and rising housing prices, which are now extremely puzzling millions of Chinese people. Therefore, many poverty farmers have to do physical labor more than 12 hours a day for the sake of survival. However, everything has two sides. Although people can get high reward by doing something they dislike, we have to look at the other side of coin, that is doing things we like is more beneficial to us than we dislike.
There are 2 reasons to support my opinion.
  First of all, doing things we like enable us to achieve meaningful goals. To illustrate this, there is an appropriate example showing Steve Jobs’s success. He attended the REED College only to found that the subject he chose did not suit him. Hence, he bravely decided to drop out as well as followed his preference. In a remarkable turn of events, he started a company named Apple which now becoming a most influential company in the world. As we can see, Jobs’s success, in other words, is not only linked to his wise option to dr out ,but also owe to his courageous courage to follow his inner voice that is to do what he tend to.
  Although the first reason I mentioned above is probably the most essential reason, it is not the only explanation for why I choose to. From my perspective of view, only doing things we prefer to do can we be efficient at work. For instance, an English studying investigation indicate that an average number of English words that college and university students understand is almost 4500. Furthermore, 80 percent of students who knows more than 4500 words is suggested to fond of English. This phenomenon shows do favorable thing is more likely to be sufficient.
  Although doing things that we do not enjoy sometimes can bring more money to us, at the same time, it is surely to cause many physical and mental problems like having much too pressure and failing to fall asleep. By contrast, doing things we prefer to is crucial to keep expeditious at work ever at life, which I consider is the same business to earn much money because happiness is forever an endless wealth. From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that doing things we enjoy doing that make our lives enjoyable and meaningful
