Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Younger school children(aged five to ten) should be required to study art and music in addition to math,language,science and history.

Recent decades have witnessed a growing awareness of the importance of children’s education. Occupied with a number of subjects to learn, children rarely have time to play as I did when I was a child. Thus the issue of whether it is beneficial for children to receive art and music class in addition to math,language,science and history triggered a heated discussion. From my own perspective, I am in favor of it. My reasons can be listed as follows.
For one thing, learning art and music is conducive to boosting children’s ability such as creation and imagination.Admittedly that classes like math and science do good to build children’s own thinking about an object or a phenomenon. But there is no doubt that it is less useful to form children’s creation and imagination. Creation and imagination is an integral part of children’s personality.As a result, Studying art and music is a convenient way to reach the goal. Which can render children to be creative and imaginative. Hence, it is salient that learning art and music is one of the determinants of children’s capacity.
For another, children can have a good relax during the class when they are studying art and music.As is known to us all that children’s pressure is increasing rapidly as time goes by. Parents’ expectation is always beyond what children can endure. The children hardly have their own time to do things they like to do. What is worse, they live as if they are not the owner of the body. However, learning art and music can release children’s pressure through a variety of beautiful paintings and touching sounds.During that time, children can devote themselves to the world of art and music. No one will ask them to do plenty of things then do not want to do.
Last but not least,it is universally acknowledged that art and music is the bridge among people. Art and music plays a pivotal role in communication among people from all over the world using different languages.For instance, I used to attend an activity when I am still a child about 5 years old. Among that there were children from different countries. I even din not know what they were talking about. But as the music began, we all danced hands in hands with the temple of music even though we can not talk with each other. It is amazing.
From what has been discussed previously, a conclusion could be easily drawn that children can profits from learning art and music. As far as I am concerned, it is advisable that an excellent personality could be formed in this way.
